This is a nice place to stay. Comfortable beds clean bathrooms. Good Atmosphere. It is walking distance to main town. They have flat screen TV and you can borrow DVD's for free. Activities we did include Coffee tour, and Zip Lining in the cloud forest.

During our visit to Costa Rica, we found ourselves in the Cloud Forest of Monteverde; here we stayed at hotel Poco a Poco (little by little). Monteverde’s weather was so different from the rest of Costa Rica! Here AC was not needed or available in the rooms due to the cooler climate. The winds can really gust up here and... More

Location was very close to the center of the town, close to shops and restaurants. It is a 4-star boutique hotel and it has beautifully kept grounds (like all the hotels we stayed in Costa Rica). We were there the night Costa Rica won against Greece in the FIFA World Cup and the enthusiasm and energy was contagious. Everybody was... More

Hotel Poco Poco was a nice hotel that is within walking distance to downtown. The hotel is very Eco-friendly so you have to be able to deal with no AC and dim lighting but it was not a problem for us at all. Probably the only downside is that if you leave your windows open bugs come in. :-) The... More

Very nice hotel. We had a very nice room over looking the valley. They are really trying to be green here. The restaurant service was EXCELLENT. We stayed for 2 days, Jonathan was the BEST server I think I've ever had. The pool area was great. It's under a large transparent roof framed by flowering vines. Awesome. Short walk to... More

I stayed here alone during rainy season and couldn't have asked for a more pleasant stay. I was greeted with a delicious drink and given a room with a beautiful view of the back pastures and forest. (The cows mooing in the morning only added to the charm!) the breakfast and dinner at the hotel restaurant were pleasant and good,... More

Poco a Poco was a very nice hotel. The hotel staff could not have been better -5 stars! Michael at the front was extremely helpful booking our excursions. Although the bathrooms were a bit dated the room was a good size and the bed was very comfortable. The location is good, it’s walking distance to the town and away from... More

Stayed here for a few days during a three week trip in Costa Rica and we were impressed by the clean accommodation, tasty breakfast, live music entertainment and accommodating staff. Jonathan and Wilbur in the dining room were particularly attentive and helpful in recommending attractions, tours and helping us identify wildlife in our photos.

Dear Venconmigo. Thank you for your review, Monteverde is located at 5.000 feet above sea level, on the mountains, very windy and cloudy over here and temperature is usually cooler than in other destinations. There are no air conditioning hotels in Monteverde. Our pool is one of the highlights of the hotel, heated, with a nice wet bar and kids... More

Very comfortable and the staff couldn't have been nicer. Driving here was amazingly difficult. They should fix the roads. Walking into town was easy (coming back not as much). Lots to see and do in the area.
