2 night stay. Clean rooms, plenty of hot water for showers, comfortable beds. Wifi is located at or near main buildings so it doesn't reach all of the cabins. Location is just outside of Santa Elena with easy access to the town and to near by Monteverde reserves and attractions. Breakfast is included and is OK-includes eggs and gallo pinto is... More

rooms didn't smell good and the beds were uncomfortable but our biggest disappointment was the services. Staff were very sweet but the hotel has definitely had its day. we were cold in a damp room, the flooring creaked very loudly and the breakfast was terrible (stale bread, little fruit and eggs if you asked). there are no tea/coffee or water... We stayed at this very comfortable and clean place and would recommend this hotel. The owner was very nice and made us feel comfortable. It is close is very close where we are the last pickup for the bus to the canopy tour and first to drop off. Breakfast was included.

We showed up late on a foggy rainy night after a terrible drive and were very happy with our reception. The bed was comfortable, and the restaurant/bar was great. The only suggestion I would make would be thicker curtains since the outdoor lighting lit up the room all night. We would definitely go back

We visited during the high season and were pleased that they had a room available without reservation. The staff is discrete but helpful. The room was clean with 2 large beds that were comfortable. The bedding looked a little dated, but did the job. The room is all covered in wood which gives a nice little chalet feeling. The bathroom... More

Beautiful location on the edge of town. An easy, short walk to the centre. We were made extremely welcome by Andrea and David and enjoyed our stay in one of the 'chalets' in the lovely garden. Food was really good and plentiful at breakfast and dinner.

Hotel in Monteverde was a big disappointment. We have spent two nights in this hotel. We were the only guests. Throughout our stay chalet was smelled musty. Bedding smelled musty too. It was hard to sleep in bed. We had cobwebs on the shelves. Breakfast was tasty, but poor - bad comunication with the staff. We don't visit this hotel... More

We have been there for few days. Wallter the cheff and the owner of the place makes a great indian food. Also,he inform us about special things to do in monyeverde area (like the San luis waterfalls) which are not mentioned in the travels book... The rooms are nice and clean. Just a perfect place. Our room was not ready, there is no reception and the owners were busy playing cards online to care. They specifically told us to leave the restaurant (only they were sitting in it) We stood outside for 30 minutes. The room we ugraded too was better, but with a strong smell of bathroom. There are cats and dogs in and... More

I didn't realize when I booked that not all the rooms are in private chalets, so we had a standard room connected to the restaurant. It was still nice though, clean and comfortable enough. Thin walls though! The grounds are nice with their own gardens and some hummingbirds. They show a video at night which was nice and interesting -... More
