The hotel is perched on a mountain on terraces with lush grassy lawns. What an amazing view from your room. We stayed in the 700 building which was not walkable for my wife so we had to call for a complimentary shuttle to get around. The room is very clean and the beds are super comfortable. the only complaint is... More

Views were godd, the rooms were nice and the breakfast was OK. The only complaint I have is that you can hear everything in the halls with the doors slamming and kids running around and screaming. Probably a great place for families but not for a couple's honeymoon. That was just our experience though... I'm sure a product of just... More

It's a large property but it's spread out so it doesn't feel or look overwhelmingly large. There are several buildings leading up the hill and the views are better the higher up you stay. The rooms are modern, large and very nicely appointed with comfortable beds and rocking chairs to help enjoy the views. The bathrooms are nice and spacious... More

Family vacation of 11 fromaage 10 to 72 and all liked El Establo. The views from the room are magnificent. The hill walking will help keep the breakfast off the waist line. On the staff Jeff at the front desk was very helpful with the check in and things to do. If you come in from Arenal you will understand... More

What a delightful find in a rainforest paradise! We stayed one night in June 2015 and wished we could have stayed longer. The room was clean, comfortable, modern, and had great views. We loved our deck and the pool was amazing. Things to note: There is not Wifi everywhere on the property; only in pockets. The property is on a... More

Beautiful scenery. Zip line staff was great and provided a memorable occasion. Also took the night tour and was not disappointed despite a slow rain. Insects, mammals, birds, and even some very small frogs were seen. We went offsite for a canopy tour with bridges over the ravines. Another interesting experience. We went as a family with ages from 2... More

We were a party of 14. We had 7 rooms for 2 nights. Staff was great especially Gustavo as concierge. Tough location as its built into mountain so while views were amazing, getting around resort means depending on shuttle (very steep inclines). Rooms were great. Spacious and clean and modern. WiFi not great but they told us it was being... More

My family and I traveled here with a tour group. Our family had 2 rooms. rooms 101 -312 section. The rooms are very large and clean. Loved the chairs that looked outside and the ground floor had a poured patio that was nice so we walk out to the green grass & pool. I liked the open space in the... More

There is no air conditioning in any of the local hotels. The staff was very accommodating and brought us fans for our room. We would have liked to enjoy the natural cool weather, but with the bugs this was impossible. If you do go anywhere here, it would benefit you to learn the Spanish word for scorpion. If you do... This was an amazing hotel accommodation. The buildings were perched in terraces, on a lush green mountain, with a view to die for. You did feel on top of the world and in the clouds. A walkout verandah lead to a sprawling lawn, overlooking the cliff, which allowed us visitors to plant our tripods each evening for spectacular sunsets and... More
