After staying In an airport hotel and a rustic lodge on a ranch, this was a refreshing experience after a long two days of activities and driving through cloud forest. Get room at 700 &800 so you can walk to fitness ctr with heated pool ,enjoy fantastic views of nicoya gulf and be next to gourmet restaurant with second for lounge.... More

We stayed in the 700 building. The drive up the mountain side to the room is quite the hike. Turning into the 700 building you feel like you are driving off the side of the mountain. The interior is beautiful. Like a lodge with stone and beautiful hardwoods. The room had a spectacular view of the Nicoya peninsula. Two rocking... More

A beautiful mountain resort. Our room was at the top of the property. Amazing views! We stayed for 2 nights. The rooms are very rustic but clean and comfortable. No wi-fi or air conditioning, which was not a problem, slept with our door open, no bugs. For us, NO coffee maker. Such a beautiful view, but NO coffee in am... More

Beautiful mountain resort. A bit rustic but the landscape and views were amazing. Slept like a baby during our stay. A must if you go is to do the guided night walk in the rainforest and to zipline in the cloud forest. The restaurant on the property (Laggos) had excellent food and wine. The only reason I didn't give this... More

I stayed here for 2 nights and enjoyed the stay. The grounds were beautiful and the rooms were clean, spacious and comfortable. The one limitation is that the grounds are massive and a shuttle was needed to get from the rooms to the reception. The shuttle service is quick though so it wasn't a problem unless it was after 10pm.... More

Uphill buildings are perched with a West view of the Gulf of Nicoyia. Floor to ceiling windows provide perfect view of beautiful sunsets. A shuttle takes you down to the base dining or uphill to trails or zip line. Midway down is an indoor heated pool. Rooms are big, very comfortable with big, very modern bathroom. Refrigerator is nice to... More

Our family of six stayed at El Establo for four nights on December 21st-25th, 2014. It was a nice hotel and we had a good stay during our time there. Overall the hotel provided good, friendly, and efficient service. My husband, who is a target for bug bites, arrived with an abundance of them all over his forearms and they... More

We went to 4 places in our 2 week trip and this was my least favorite. If views are important to you make sure you ask for a 3rd floor of a high # building. We were in the bottom floor of building 4 and were very disappointed. The highlight was zip lining in the facilities with Dio and Pablo
