I stayed at Hotel Belmar for 2 nights, just to have access to the Cloud Forest and Coffee plantations. Boy, that was silly! We could have stayed at Hotel Belmar our entire week-long vacation, even though we are typically beach hounds! The staff, food, and views are simply the best. The beer is great, and the cocktails, I must say,... More

We stayed at five hotels during our visit to Costa Rica. This was the only one rated by our travel agent as three rather than four stars, but it was the best. The Canopy Room gave us a large balcony with view over the forest. It had a large indoor jacuzzi and comfortable seating. The free yoga class I attended... More

PURA VIDA! It was beyond my expectations! One of my best Hotel Experience! The Belmar is a small luxurious & charming Hotel; an example to follow for in terms of ecology and sustainability. The property is simply amazing with a lake and some trails that take you in a tour with the nature and its animals. And to conclude: the... More

we loved our stay at Hotel Belmar. We only stayed a couple of days and really wished we could have stayed longer. It is a charming, beautiful place. The food was very good. We stayed at several places with free breakfast and this was definitely the best. Everything was home made and fresh. We enjoyed our stay and hope to... More

We enjoyed our stay here in August, 2015. The staff was very accommodating and added a queen bed to a room for our grown kids. The beds were very comfortable and we loved the showers, with a view of the forest where we heard monkeys in the am and late afternoons. My daughter enjoyed her massage immensely. We ate at... More

We stayed at this hotel for a few days and I could honestly say that my husband chose this hotel for our honeymoon. This was the best choice he could have ever made. We had the sun rise room with the jacuzzi in it and an amazing view. The staff was always very attentive staff. They were always ready to... More

Fibre optic broadband and speedy food service are two things you won't get at the Hotel Belmar. In this alpine chalet meets Sylvanian Family treehouse you will get friendly and informative service, excellent views, sunsets, spectacular lightning strikes, hummingbirds a flutter away from your balcony and access to the cornucopia that is Monteverde. Our rooms were on the lower ground floor... More

The view from the balcony was beautiful. The food was excellent. Probably the best breakfasts of the entire trip. The resort was nice, hot tub and grounds were very well maintained. The hotel room was pretty. We were all four (2 parents + 2 teenagers) in one room, which was fine, but enjoyed having more space later on in the... More

This hotel lived up to my very picky expectations. I had room 20 which was right under the dining room. Those who complained of noise in other reviews must have went to bed really early. The restaurant closes at 10 pm and it is silent except for jungle noises. The bed was super comfy and bathroom products were very nice.... More
