We (family of 4) stayed here for 4 nights recently, and really loved the hotel and the Monteverde area. We were given 2 large junior suites, each had a king-size and a queen-size bed, really comfy. Beautiful views from very large windows in the sitting area over the lovely gardens. The kids used the pool a lot while we relaxed... More

We spent two nights here in beautiful surroundings. The room was very well appointed with great views. The hotel is in the middle of some great cloud forest treks so it's ideal for nature lovers. Plenty of birds to be seen as well. The hotel restaurant was also quite good. I'd love to go back someday.

We spent 2 nights in "junior suites". Each could have slept two couples... This is the most remote of the lodging in the area - right within the rain forest and about 5+ minutes from town - most of the journey on unpaved roads. A very rustic feel. Service was very good and breakfasts included were "OK" - not quite... More

We had a vintage, wooden lodge style room, which was very spacious. The grounds were charming and we grew to feel very much at home here. The resorts location is ideal if you are a keen adventurer. The Montrverde and Selvetura cloud forest resorts were a stones-throw away and a leisurely stroll into town revealed some hidden gems (restaurants/ arts... More

We stayed two nights, with three children aged 10, 7 and 5. The hotel is a bit of a hippy retreat in the cloud forest, with sculptures in the beautifully kept gardens and a really tranquil feel. The junior suite turned out to be one large room with two doubles and a single and a separate bathroom, but it was... More

We had family group of 4 rooms for three days, two nights in mid-August. We liked the "feel" of the rooms. Most were large and each a little different. On clear day amazing view in which you can see part of Pacific ocean in far distance. The kids enjoyed the pool. We had lunch at the restaurant one day and... More

We stayed as part of tour, and this was an upgrade hotel, we found it a little disappointing, the room was ok it was clean and quite large, but it looks a little tired, we were on a ground floor and because of the wooden floors we could hear people upstairs moving around, to be fair they did not wake... And an amazing setting! We were booked at this hotel by a travel group called Costa Rica Gateway as part of a private guided birding tour of northern Costa Rica. The rooms are in separate blocks spread out over the grounds, not visible from one another. Paths go to and from the main desk and dining room to the room... More

We found this gem through TripAdvisor. Friendly staff, they hooked us up with a guide for a nite walk, to see nocturnal critters (like a fledgling owl and stick bugs). Covered pool with two jacuzzis was great at the end of a day zip lining. Facilities are in top condition. Did not eat at the restaurant, so cannot comment on... More

Great place to stay. Enjoyed the pool and hot tubs. There was also a stray puppy there that my kids loved. Food at restaurant was good but pricey. The rooms were very spacious and beds were very comfortable.
