My 14 year old son and I just spent three nights at the Vista Verde Lodge. The first day we got here, it was sunny and clear. I was able to take pictures of the Arenal volcano and the lake. The suite we had have 3 huge large windows with screens so we were able to open them and let... More

A view of the Arenal. A staff made in heaven. A spacious room with a comfortable bed. There is no danger of crowd forest at this hotel. If you want a beautiful hike, go to the waterfall. The breakfast was unbelievable: the banana pancakes were heavenly, and ask for a cooking lesson on how they do it!

Vista Verde Lodge is a little great secret. Its location it's just astonishing and the Jimenez family gave us a warm and friendly welcome. They were also very helpful in organising different activities and when it came to plan the rest of our trip. The food is also fantastic and the rooms are very clean with wonderful views. We would... This is a quiet hotel in a very serene setting. The grounds are incredible with several hiking paths and amazing gardens. The rooms are fine and comfortable. They are set at ground level so they are pretty dark but have nice exposure to the flora. The hot tub holds 18 people and is a welcomed sight at the end of... More

My friend and I were blown away by this place! When we were taken to our room, we were both thinking that they must have mixed up our reservation as we were put in a really nice room with a private bathroom. The views were absolutely breathtaking! Everyone who works there speaks Spanish and very little English, although during our... More

I had an amazing time here! We came to Vista Verde, knowing that it was in the complete middle of nowhere. You get what you see here- wonderful service, all of our favorite dishes we had in all of Costa Rica, some of the best views, and my favorite thing of all: being surrounded by nothing else than an amazing... We just returned from Costa-Rica and spent 2 wonderful nights at the Lodge. We were treated like family, Eulogio, the administrator made us feel at home, pampering us and providing valuable suggestions as per excursions to be made in the area, in fact everything he recommended was the best we could hope for, and our experience went way beyond our... We read about Vista Verde Lodge in a travel book a few hours before making the ascent up to Monte Verde. We decided to check it out based on the intriguing description and were beyond surprised by the prominent view of the volcano and lake when we arrived. The family that operates the hotel was so sweet and extremely accommodating.... More

My Wife and I had an awesome time here @ Vista Verde Lodge. It was a nice change from the Hustle and Bustle of Tamarindo where we were for a week previous. Eulogio picked us up and on the way picked up his Mom Hermida who did the cooking which was delicious. She had called her eldest granddaughter Karina for... More
