The rooms are very comfortable and clean. The staff is very helpful and you are in the center of Monteverde. Unfortunately they don't have a pool to relax that would be the fifth start. Next to the sunset suites is a small coffee, go there and try a Zebra-Moccachino. On the other side of the street you will find a... More

Just two words: tasteless and awful. Having seeen some pretty tasteless hotels when travelling around the world this one is a good candidate for the top spot of Most Dreadful Hotels of the World. After a madman car ride on rocky and an unpaved road from Tilaran (think twice before you decide to take the road rather then the boat... More

Our stay was wonderful in every detail. Clean comfortable room with spacious bathroom. Crisp clean room decor - simple and uncluttered. View from the balcony over the mountains was memorable. Gabriel was extremely friendly and helpful, and the breakfast was delicious! Highly recommend!

Large rooms however felt like we were camping. There were bugs in the room. There was no air conditioning, which would have been fine considering there were sliding glass doors, however there were no screens on the door, so even more bugs would come in the room. Note: Wifi was not great.

Visited with my 77yo mom for a weekend. The staff was very helpful and accommodating. We got a nice room overlooking the forest and the town. Very comfortable and clean rooms and very quiet too. Breakfast was delicious! The hotel is at the top of a hill, a hard climb but totally worth it.

The staff who greeted us and helped us schedule our tours was incredibly helpful and seemed genuinely happy and glad to be of service to us. The rooms were very clean and had an amazing view to the mountains of Monteverde. Morning breakfast was pretty good too.

This appeared to us to be the best place to stay in the area. Note that is at the top of a rather steep hill, which is a daunting climb from the center of town. The views are worth the climb, as are the rooms. The suites are spacious, with very nice bathrooms featuring huge tiled showers. Our suite had... More

Eugenia the manager, was wonderful and gave us a great room after our first hotel was a disaster. The rooms are beautiful with a vaulted wooden ceiling and lovely bathroom. Great breakfast with made to order omelets. Each morning there was a rainbow, beautiful views to the Gulf of Nicoya over the breakfast room. In walking distance to restaurants in... More

We were so pleased that we choose the Ficus Sunset Suites when we visited the cloud forest. The room was huge and spotless. The bathroom was beautiful. We were in one of the lower buildings but we could still see the Pacific Ocean from our balcony. We sat on the balcony and watched all sorts of birds, including Toucans. Wifi... More
