I left Geneva yesterday to go to Madrid (by car) . It's a bloody 9 hours drive to Eugenie les Bains, an traditiional thermal site since Emperess Eugenie, Napoleon III, spouse, where I made a pit-stop. Luckily we have Google maps nowadays because this site is quite hidden in the southern part of France, not too far from the Atlantic... More

Pres des Eugenie is a restaurant and spa complex in the sleepy village of Eugenie Les Bains. It is owned by Michel.Guerard, who at the time of our latest visit here was still working in his kitchen at a mere eighty two years of age, having held the ultimate three Michelin stars for 38 years thus far. The main building... More

A truly beautiful place - every corner is worth a place in a coffee table photo album. The rooms are decorated with antiques, some (Couvent des Herbes) have fireplaces and private gardens, the park is lovely - all looks like a prefect setting for a wedding or a fashion photo shoot. On the less romantic side, the (diet) food is... More

The hotel is a true jewel. I had a suite on the top floor. Attention to detail is TOP I loved every detail of the room. The bed, the working area, the living area... All the restaurants are amazing. Would reccomend it to anyone

My wife and I have been fortunate enough to experience many of the world's best hotels and resorts and to eat in many of the world's most highly rated restaurants, nowhere more than in France. In my case, such experiences go back as long as 40 years. My first visit to Les Prés d'Eugénie was more than 25 years ago,... More

If you want to offer yourself a moment of "luxe, calme et volupté" (luxury, calm and bliss) you are at the right place at Les Pres d'Eugénie! From the magic of the place, architecture and decoration - I have seen it under in winter with snow - to the impeccable service everything is perfect! You will enjoy the stunning 3-star... More

We had chosen to come here because we wanted to experience Monsieur Guerard's food. Our stay was even better than we had imagined it could be. Yes, the food was sublime. We have dined at other three stars, but the relaxed and friendly atmosphere here added to the perfection of the cuisine. The property is beautiful, the gardens are glorious,... More

If you are willing to make a sojourn to South West France this is heaven. We have been many times over the years, and always want to go back. Michael Gerard is still cooking and overseeing the kitchen , and the food is absolutely sublime, fois gras , truffles, fresh vegetables and fish, each dish a delight. Of course it... More

First of all the grounds are beautiful only surpassed by the interior of the hotel. Graced by orchids throughout, the art work is amazing. It is like a small art gallery with various sculptures sprinkled around everywhere. We have dined at many Relais & Chateau properties but this restaurant was at or as close to the top of our list.... We spent 3 nights at this wonderful property and could not have been more pleased. The staff are top notch, nice and attentive to your comfort. The food is amazing, albeit expensive. Nonetheless, you get what you pay for. We will go back one day!
