Wonderful location right on the beach. Very safe and secure for families. Although we visited for a 400 strong family reunion, the site was great. Bobbies restaurant served the best cooked breakfast (less for mum-in-laws) in SA. The chalets are of differing age and standard. Would pay to check their web page for the differences. Ours was a 2 bed... More

With camping being the family first choice for the a seaside break, the uncertainty with the weather for the weekend ahead sent us further down south to Port Edward. An inexpensive break just to enjoy each other's company with a stroll on the beach is exactly what we got. 2 x 6 sleepers was our choice but we basically lived... More

Every self catering unit has different furniture and features - some have full sea views and other only side views. The accommodation is pretty basic but you are walking distance to the shops and beach. There are cleaning ladies that you have to "employ" as you need them. The unit's braai area gets cleaned on a daily basis.

this is the place to go and relax and wartch the sea, dolphins and whales. Chalets are basic but adequate, with everything one requires. They are very clean and linen in good condition. Its very popular and we return time and again.

My family and I visited the PEHR for a one night stay in their 4 sleeper cottages last weekend and while the cottages are very basic with 4 x single beds, a kitchen that is equipped with utensils/crockery/pots/pans etc, a TV with selected DSTV channels and a bathroom with a shower (granted it is a handheld shower, but a shower... We keep going back there time after time. the best place for a family holiday. Beach is a stone throw away.We couldn't get enough and even extended our stay. The only disappointment is that they close the gates to the beach at a certain time. You cannot take night strolls along the beach. Never a let down!

Not a place I would recommend if you are looking for relaxation. Too much of hustle and bustle too close to the resort. Booked 3 x 4 sleepers and had problems with all 3 chalets. The window latches were of very poor quality. We had a windy night and the windows rattled so much that my family could not get... More

It's a nice comfortable accommodation bit rustic but OK if you looking for quick break from city. If looking for luxury than this is not the place. Best it can be describe as a decent self catering chalet one can get in reasonable price. Best part of accommodation is that beach is walking distance. Port Edward beach has natural rock... More

we unfortunately only spent a night here but found the four sleeper studio apartment neat, and well equipped. it was sea facing and offered excellent views of the beach. there are activities and a lovely swimming pool. it also has an onsite restaurant if you not in the mood to look for a place to eat. There are also other... More
