We recently had our third stay with Helle & David during the May half term holiday at the Old Rectory in Coulston, Wiltshire. The trip was planned soon after our last visit as we have had such lovely holidays staying at this wonderful B & B, & we couldn't wait to return! After being welcomed by Helle & David, Tilly... Recently had our second visit to Helle and Davids beautiful home. This stay was everybit as good as the first. Warm friendly hosts, comfortable beds and delicious breakfasts. Our stay made even better by our long breakfasts talking to the two other guests from Germany. Sorry Helle and David for the long wait to clear away.

We started our holiday week in the UK at the Old Rectory in Coulston. This turned out to be a very good choice. After a long journey from Holland with our 2 kids and dog, we had a warm welcome by Helle and David. Their house and garden is really beautiful, typical English and our son immediately got excited by... More

We stayed here when visiting Stonehenge. Everything about it was of an excellent standard. Helle and David were warm and friendly hosts and had the right balance of hospitality - we felt really looked after. We hope to return for a longer stay. The blueberry pancakes at breakfast were delicious!!

We had the "family suite", the top floor of The Old Rectory, which is pleasingly self-contained and very comfortable (two bedrooms, one bathroom). The house and grounds were lovely. The children were able to run free in the garden and even go to the village Church alone. The hosts were delightful and breakfast refined and truly delicious. How nice to... More

This was our second visit to Helle& David at the Old Rectory - more like a return visit to friends. We actually changed our holiday dates because they were booked out during the week we wanted to stay - that is how good they are! We are already looking forward to our next visit.

I had two restful and extremely relaxing breaks at the Old Rectory in February and March - I keep coming back because of the very warm welcome, fantastic breakfasts and extremely comfortable rooms. The house is absolutely beautiful: it's in a tranquil rural setting, but with pubs and restaurants within easy reach. Helle and David are the perfect hosts -... More

I've not written a review for a while, but I feel The Old Rectory is worthy of me dusting off my Tripadvisor reviewer's hat. Right from phoning to make the reservation, to when we left, we really couldn't think of anything we'd want to change. Helle and David are great, warm and friendly hosts who took care and attention to... More

A friend in America knew of the Old Rectory and has been encouraging me to visit for years, so glad I did. All visitors seem to report a wonderful experience, I am 99% sure I had a better one, the only draw back being my bucket list of places to go and things to do went out of the window.... More

We have revisited 'The Old Rectory' on a number of occasions and it has come to feel like our second home. It is also such a pleasure to be able to take our two Jack Russels who thoroughly enjoy the run of the extensive grounds. Our family are made to feel so welcome by Helle and David, who especially catered... More
