We felt very welcome in this impressive and lovely home. The accommodation was very clean and comfortable and the little extras showed that nothing was too much trouble to make our stay really enjoyable. The breakfasts were very good and there was a relaxing and friendly atmosphere.

Spent a great week visiting surrounding sights while staying at this wonderful B&B. The hosts make you feel very welcome and the breakfast is lavish. The room was charming and there was always fresh flowers and treats waiting. Such a feeling of being welcome. Thank you.

Just returned from a 2 day stay at The Old Rectory and can't recommend it highly enough. The house is set in the most beautiful gardens and provides a perfect base from which to explore the surrounding area. Alternatively if you just want to relax in the beautiful gardens you're welcome to do so. Breakfasts are individually cooked using good... More

Recommended by a friend of my wife. Off the main road but worth the hunt to find it. Far exceeds expectations all really great. Very friendly, comfortable and felt like home. Our hosts Helle and David were wonderful and made us really welcome. Room was simply decorated, spotlessly clean and well finished, with all expected facilities and a box of... More

Helle is a fantastic hostess and she welcomed us with a wonderful home made cream tea on the terrace. Our rooms were excellent, we were on the top floor in a large double room with a single room next door and our own private bathroom. Everything had been thought of right down to a box marked 'Just in case' which... More

We stayed at "The Old Rectory" for five nights and had an absolut wonderful time! The house itself has a very good location to explore the surrounding area (Stonehenge, Avebury, Glastonbury, Salisbury ....) and sits in an amazing garden, which is well kept with old trees and huge lavender bushes around the terrace. It feels nearly like a park! The... More

Making our annual trip to Wiltshire gave us the chance to return to this delightful B&B. Nothing had changed-the welcome was as warm, the breakfasts as good, the dogs as delightful, the garden as lovely. We had the 'other' room this time (there are only two) and it was large, spacious, comfortable and well appointed (everything you could think of... More

We arrived late due to traffic but were given a very warm welcome from Helle as we took out sleepy children from the car she helped with our luggage. We had the whole of the second floor to ourselves. We had a very large bedroom, the children a cosy twin and beautiful bathroom. The room was well stocked with everything... More

When we arrived Helle came out to greet us. 'David and I want you to regard The Old Rectory as your home for the next three days,' she said, 'and we will do all we can to make your stay special.' They were true to their word, and we were constantly surprised by thoughtful and unobtrusive kindnesses. The Rectory is... More
