Where do I start... first I find this place way over priced for what you get! We booked primarily for the pool and splash pad, this ended up being the reason we didn't like Bissell's. We have 3 kids that still need water wings to swim and found out by a BLOWING whistle and an embarrassing yell that water wings... More

Thanks for your concerns, we will be expanding the shallow area in the pool for next year so that younger children will have a much larger play area. The grease bin has been taken away, swings have been fixed and sidewalk repaired. A day camp of 60 kids was out that day yet the pool can hold 2000 we felt... More

I am just getting into camping and in no way enjoy the thought of 'roughing it'. We have two young children and they absolutely loved this place. Excellent facilties - CLEAN bathrooms and everything a 4 and 10 yo could dream of. Only downside was the somewhat loud group of families in the tenting site (water and hydro) who let... More

Well were do i start..We booked camp site 41, which is next to a lot of cherry trees needless to say the abundance of seagulls at 5 am is a quite a wake up call..The camp site washroom only had one door and the other was no where to be found and to pay $1 to use a shower after... More

Thanks for your post and we are looking into those issues and finding ways to scare seagulls during the two week cherry season. The great outdoors some times comes with a few surprises, that's what makes it great! Bissell's Hideaway is definitely not what it used to be and evolves year after year. Attractions and upgrades are constantly taking place... More

We booked 4 studio and 1 rustic cabin for the weekend. It was quiet atmosphere and we were the one making noise in the evening. We had a very nice stay. All the cabin were together. It was clean. We had to bring our own bedsheets and blankets. There is a barbeque stove available if you want to cook there.... More

We have been renting the deluxe cabin for the last few years. We have two young children so it's perfect. Great clean cabins, lovely pool and plenty of things for the babes to do. Not much of a camper so it's great for the indoor type, with outdoor experience. Comes with fridge, BBQ, AC and rather comfy beds. But if... More

This is my second review of this campground. I am adding another review because of some of the negative comments I have read from other reviewers. We have camped at Bissells for 2 years in a row the end of August in 2012 & 2013 in our 32' travel trailer. Our past trip was just as fun as our first.... More

"You will feel like you are camping in seclusion". There is nothing further from the truth. We arrived last night with our pop-up trailer and were greeted by the local drunkards who, albeit politely offered to help us set up camp, kept us up with their carousing until 4am. The campsites are on top of each other with absolutely no... More

When you arrived the only site we had left was one in our seasonal area, we have had problems with the individuals behind you, but they have been evicted. Please try us again and remember we answer our calls 24/7 so if there is a problem a solution is only a phone call away. More
