I stayed here for one night on a stop over before Matera and thoroughly enjoyed my short stay. The owner went out of his way to help me out and advise what and where to visit close by. Friendly and helpful hotel staff, good sized breakfast and decent food available for dinner too. It is located along a highway but... More

We stayed in your house for two nights with a group of 25 people. First we were disappointed about the stituation of the hotel close to the highway. But this was more than compensated by your warm welcome and the excellent food. We enjoyed a lot! Thank you! We look forward to coming again in autumn.

The hotel is nicely kept up, however it is located directly on a highway. It may be fine for a one night stop over, however if you want to do day trips, you would be better off staying in the City of Bernalda which 5 miles away. The rooms are standard size, for a third person, only expect a pop-up... More

I enjoyed my 2 nights at the Palatinum. The hotel staff collected me from the train station which was very important as I didn't have my own transport. It would have been impossible to get around to see the sights except for the fact that the hotel staff were able to provide (at a minimal cost) a car & driver... More

This Hotel is depressingly characterless and impersonnal. Beside the motorway and probably used as a stopping point for bus tours. Our room was large - but painted lilac and dark red. There was a very small balcony with an empty plastic bottle on it. One very ugly plastic bedside light was broken and held together with a large clip. But... More

So Metaponto is dead during November, and this was the only hotel we could find. It turns out this hotel is a true find. Its rooms are spartan but clean, and are a great value. It's has a bar, TV, pool table and a restaurant. We ate dinner there and the food was fantastic. These guys know how to cook.... More
