My husband and I have just returned for a lovely five days break at The Firs Guesthouse. We decided to travel by train to Blair Atholl and it was lovely to be picked up by Geoff and back to The Firs in minutes and a very warm welcome. We have stayed at The Firs Guesthouse with hosts Geoff and Kirstie... More

Geoff and Kirstie run a super guest house that offers a great breakfast and has well appointed rooms. I stayed there whilst on my solo lejog bike ride and arrived early evening and the central heated room and super shower were rejuvenating! The bed gave a great nights sleep too. The pub adjacent to the hotel serves a great pint... More

Thanks - we'll stick with our local butcher for the bacon! Our log stove works hard in the Autumn and Spring (we re-open mid March) but we love it and glad you did too. More

Stayed for 2 nights recently. Felt very welcome. The lounge (with a lit wood burning stove) was lovely. The bed was very comfortable and the shower was very enjoyable. Breakfast was super, Kirstie and Geoff use local produce where possible. My husband would like me to mention that the bacon was very tasty.

We were made very welcome by Kirsty and Geoff. Pleasantly surprised to be put in a nice Family room. Lots of space for the two of us. Lots of guests on the Saturday night and we still got a great nights sleep in the cosy bed. Did not hear anyone else moving about or flushing toilets etc. Fantastic soundproofing. Breakfasts... Almost "home from home now" and like visiting best friends! Kirstie and Geoff are so welcoming and as in March review breakfast is excellent and rooms exceptionally cosy...and quiet. Daughter , grandchildren and dog accompanied me in July for my 2nd stay and also enjoyed their 2 nts there ...12 yr old grandson declaring "that was the best cooked breakfast... More

The Firs is a great place to stay, Kirsty and Geoff are both very welcoming, it felt more like staying in a friends house than being in a guesthouse. Good choice for breakfast, and secure parking for our bikes. Couldn't ask for anything else.

Our third stay with Kirsty and Geoff and since we found it, The Firs will always be our place to stay when in the area or heading for the Highlands. You couldn't get a nicer reception or comfier room anywhere in our opinion and the breakfasts are super. We always look forward to staying there.

We got a very warm welcome by Kirstie and Geoff and saved our day as we had a problem with being double booked at another establishment and upon arriving at The Firs, we were made to feel very welcome and they managed to give us a room at such short notice.
