On arriving staff booking us in to caravan they were more interested on talking to each other about nothing to do with work,, caravan carpets and sofa dirty, broken equipment in caravan, Site clean and plenty facility's for campers, would recommend camping but caravans need closer inspection,

We stayed here for 3 nights in a campervan with electric hookup. There was a decent amount of room between pitches, and toilet/shower blocks dotted around everywhere. I used the laundrette & the washer & drier only took 30 mins each which was a bonus. They provide free wifi available at the reception building via codes which are freely available,... More

I stayed here for two nights in a camper van on an electric hook up pitch, the pitches are a good size and well spaced. There is plenty of open space for children to play away from the pitches. The facilities are very clean and are plenty of them around the site. The campsite is within walking distance of all... More

Stayed here Aug 2014 with grand daughter in EHU pitch No 142 on spacious grassy area which was excellent. Loads of open space in front of Pitch so small children could play safely on bikes, scooters, etc. There is also a large playing area for older children or adults towards the entrance of site. Plenty of playpark equipment for young... More

Pew got the last pitch. Busy campsite as there was a scout jamboree going on at the castle. The camping pitches close to the reception was pretty busy, but it was cos of the scout ps parents visiting. You can also pitch at the overflow field where the pitches are massive! When we go again we will request there. Toilet,... More

Pitch booked in plenty of time / requested quiet spot - got opposite - stayed there last week [have stayed there a total of 4 times now over the years]. Whatever you do don't accept tent pitch no 247 [although this is classed as an XXL pitch with the foot traffic down all sides it became a very small pitch],... More

Stayed for a week in a large tent with electric which was great as we could have a fridge, kettle, chargers etc, really great! Toilets cleaned up to six times a day which was good, the showers would benefit in being more powerful especially block 5 left hand side shower which really only dribbled. The warden very attentive and did... More

We hired one of the static caravan for 3 nights and were impressed by the cleanliness of the caravan on arrival. All the rooms were equipped with modern equipment and the kitchen utensils were clean and new. The decking area was great for sitting out with a drink and for eating when the weather was nice. We were not bothered... More

I recently visited this campsite with my partner and 1 year old daughter and our friends and their daughter. It was my first experience of camping since being a child and needless to say I was a little apprehensive. I need not have been! It was fantastic! The campsite exceeded my reputation on all levels, cleanliness, facilities etc. we had... More
