staying in Dar Zerhoune was very nice because we loved the little city, the beautiful Volubilis and we drove rented bikes which was great. The food (great to eat at the roof terrace with view over volubilis) was the best we have had in all Morocco!

I was sad to leave here after my two night stay. The upgrade to my own room, because Rose has recently done some refurbishment and removed the dorm room, was a VERY pleasant surprise on my arrival. The room was on the ground floor and had no real window (but then this is Morocco) and therefore little natural light. There... More

We parked outside the main gate of the medina, in the main square, and then got a local guide to walk us to the dar. It's worthwhile, as it is quite a long walk, and kind of complicated. It was centrally located enough so that most sites were within walking distance. Unfortunately, walking anywhere in Moulay Idriss can be challenging,... More

This is a very comfortable, friendly guest house with a lot of nice luxuries that other places don't have in Morocco. It's a great place to go for some peace and quiet after being in Fez. In a great location too. Highly recommended.

This is a beautiful guesthouse in an excellent location in Moulay Idriss. The owner has thought of everything: there are English books, internet access, There is a stunning view of Moulay from the terrace, and you can look over Volubilis too! The beds are comfortable and it is a real home from home. We booked out the whole place when... More

We arrived after a long days travel from the UK via Fez. Awaiting us was an extremely warm welcome, a lovely clean and comfortable room, and best of all a delicious meal cooked by our hostess. We ate on the terrace enjoying amazing views of the city and surrounds. Our 3 day stay was most enjoyable, The Dar is ideally... More

I'd like to have enjoyed Dar Zerhoune more than I did, as obviously the owner has put a lot of effort into it with good details like plenty of power points, wifi, freshly painted, nice looking furniture, English language books. Bedding was fine. Mattresses and seating were very hard but that is common in Morocco. it is spotless, well located... More

We stayed 3 nights at Dar Zerhoune in mid-May. Moulay Idriss is a quiet non-touristy town. This was our first stop after flying into Casablanca for our vacation. We had planned on two nights but stayed one more night partly because it rained all night and until 2pm the next day so we were behind in what we wanted to... More

Dar Zerhoune was a gem to find, as was Moulay Idris. Spent a couple of nights here & loved it. Really comfy bed, & the electric blanket was an unexpected bonus. Beautiful, & tasteful decor & breathtaking view from the terrace. We were fortunate enough to meet Rose, the owner & her story & attitude were inspirational. I'd definitely stay... More

We stayed here in April with some chilly overnight temperatures. The electric blankets and space heaters in the room made for a very comfortable sleep. Sunsets and breakfast on the terrace were both excellent. A great place for a short stay to see Volubilis.
