My sister and I stayed for two nights at Dar Zerhoune. The owner Rose felt like a friend right away, giving good advice about what to do and what to expect. The food was AMAZING and served on the lovely rooftop terrace overlooking the town. Highly recommended.

We spent one night at Dar Zerhoune and were the only guests. The location is perfect, it is only 5 min walk to the main square with the mosque. We could leave our motorbikes safely guarded on the main square. The rooftop terrace is amazing, the staff is helpful and friendly. They organized a great guide for the ruins of... More

We stopped here for lunch (middle of Ramadan) on another tour. The food was simply the best we have had in Morocco, amazing tagine served on the roof top terrace. Desert was a lovely yogurt, but an date mix that was just heavenly. The view was spectacular. Had a look around the rooms, small but clean and cool in the... More

Dar Zerhoune has a great rooftop terrace from which to watch the day come and go. The meals were delicious and the rooms were comfortable. The walk to Volubilis along the upper road across the valley was pleasant and interesting. Although, it was very hot, we enjoyed the views as we walked. Of course, Volubilis is a "must see". The... staying in Dar Zerhoune was very nice because we loved the little city, the beautiful Volubilis and we drove rented bikes which was great. The food (great to eat at the roof terrace with view over volubilis) was the best we have had in all Morocco!

I was sad to leave here after my two night stay. The upgrade to my own room, because Rose has recently done some refurbishment and removed the dorm room, was a VERY pleasant surprise on my arrival. The room was on the ground floor and had no real window (but then this is Morocco) and therefore little natural light. There... More

We parked outside the main gate of the medina, in the main square, and then got a local guide to walk us to the dar. It's worthwhile, as it is quite a long walk, and kind of complicated. It was centrally located enough so that most sites were within walking distance. Unfortunately, walking anywhere in Moulay Idriss can be challenging,... More

This is a very comfortable, friendly guest house with a lot of nice luxuries that other places don't have in Morocco. It's a great place to go for some peace and quiet after being in Fez. In a great location too. Highly recommended.

This is a beautiful guesthouse in an excellent location in Moulay Idriss. The owner has thought of everything: there are English books, internet access, There is a stunning view of Moulay from the terrace, and you can look over Volubilis too! The beds are comfortable and it is a real home from home. We booked out the whole place when... More

We arrived after a long days travel from the UK via Fez. Awaiting us was an extremely warm welcome, a lovely clean and comfortable room, and best of all a delicious meal cooked by our hostess. We ate on the terrace enjoying amazing views of the city and surrounds. Our 3 day stay was most enjoyable, The Dar is ideally... More
