This is a wonderful cozy hotel close to the main plaza, train station and lots of restaurants. Hotel gives you free train/bus passes to Basle which is only about 1/2 hour ride away. Staying in Basle and Zurich is expensive so Lorrach is an easy and less expensive stay - less stressful too. Great breakfast. After a day of walking/streetcar... More

Recently I have stayed in Hotel Mayerhof @ Lorrach and the hotel is centrally located within walking distance to the shopping area. From Lorrach to Basel, there are good train connections and the train station (Museum/Burghof) is near to the hotel. Break fast is good with standard European cereal/bread/scrambled egg etc., and the tariff is nominal. Rooms are small but... More

Very nice hotel. Staff very helpful and friendly. Great breakfast choice. Hopefully go back some day. Lorrach is a lovely place with numerous cafés and restaurants on your doorstep. Also,Lorrach is a good place to stay if you want to visit switzerland,20 mins away by train and they are a lot cheaper than they are in england.

We stayed here for three nights when attending our friends birthday celebrations. This hotel is ideally situated for exploring Lorrach. The symposium restaurant at the front of hotel is very good.We found the rooms to be adequate ,although we did find them too warm as was the rest of hotel whilst the outside temperature wasn t overly warm .The beds... We stayed here for a night on the way to Italy, wanted to stay overnight in Switzerland but too expensive and this isn't far from the border. Rooms were very clean and comfortable, it was hot and had to have windows open which then gives you the problem of noise. Hotel is in a great location, good to have a... More

My wife and I attended a wedding in Lorrach recently. The couple booked us into this hotel which is very central and close to the main square in Lorrach. We stayed for 3 nights. It was a very pleasant stay though it was during a heatwave and there is no air-conditioning. The staff are friendly and very efficient and managed... More

On our way back from North Italië we decided (because of black Saturday on the highways) to have a stop over. We choose for Hotel Meyerhof in Lorrach who was qua timing nearly the middle of the trip. The hotel is located just next to the auto free zone or shopping zone of Lorrach (you can do some advantages comparing... More

On our way back to the north we decided to book the first hotel in Germany due to ridiculous prices of hotels in Switzerland. And Meyerhof was not a bad choice. It was for one night only and that was enough. Our room (for four persons) was huge. No other word. But it just didn't fit. Something was not in... More

The hotel itself is clean, and centrally located. However, after a 100k bike ride in 35*c heat, you need a relatively early night - 10pm is certainly considered early to most. Unfortunately, the back rooms back onto two Greek restaurants, of whom the hotel seems to have no awareness of, nor them of the hotel. The noise coming up from... More

We enjoyed our stay at Hotel Meyerhof. We had two rooms, my daughter and her children had a "family" room which was really spacious and gave lots of options for sleeping. Both our rooms were clean and well cared for, breakfast was traditional Germany and we thoroughly enjoyed it before setting out for our sight seeing. Train into Basil was... More
