Myself and my walking partner had the misfortune to stay here several months ago! Where d I start. Had to clean the bath as two cyclists had washed their kit in it. Laundry over the floor. Plug sockets falling of the walk. Large cuddly toys everywhere that smelt musty. Breakfast was interesting. Weren't offered opportunity to sit on the two... More

I have been coming to Susie's for 9 years now, on a motorbike touring various parts of the area. A secure garage is provided for the bike. Susie is a wonderful hostess, making you feel very welcome and everything you need is provided for. Her breakfasts are legendary and set you right up for the day. She is very personable... More

Pleasurable stay with a lovely hostess, hearty organic breakfast with eggs from the free ranging hens. Shared bathroom didn't cause any queues, and all other amenities such as brew kit etc were supplied and plentiful. Local town centre is about 10 minutes walk. You can adapt the Cleveland Way in order to not have to backtrack onto the route (you... More

Just back home from a family wedding in North Yorkshire and stayed overnight at this cosy B&B. Sue was very welcoming, our room was clean and comfortable. Tea/coffee in room, fresh milk, TV, nice bathroom. Double room at the front with lovely view over open fields. Recommended.

I stayed here whilst running the Cleveland Way - one of only a few places reasonably close to the route on this section. Place was immaculately clean, and very reasonably priced - even for a single room supplement as I was in a twin. Very good value chippy just down the road for hungry peeps!

We were warmly welcomed here and our hostess was very pleasant and recommended an excellent place to eat and a great coffee stop as well. Our room was very well appointed and comfortable and we had an excellent night's sleep. Breakfast was also very good and on hearing that we liked black pudding she also got some in specially for... Straight from the online booking I knew this was a great place to stay. Sue is such a personable friendly person. Really good communications before arrival ensured our pre-delivers bags and our bikes were catered for as this was part of our coast to coast bike ride. Our rooms were excellent and breakfast was spot on. The relaxed atmosphere of... More

Walking Cleveland Way. Susie offers pick ups/drops to trail for very small fee. Rooms clean and quite sizeable. Breakfast really great. On edge of town but not too far to walk to centre. Only blemish was shower not very strong.

4 of us motorcyclists stayed for a long weekend in May. Perfect location for the North York Moors and the East Coast. A little further for the Dales but fine for a full days riding. Sue is very friendly and welcoming; the full English sets you up for a day out and the garden was delightful in the mornings. The... More

My husband and I stayed overnight at Susie D's B&B as a base for visiting the nearby Roseberry Topping. Susie was extremely helpful, letting us drop off our bags so they weren't viewable to all whilst we walked nearby, and arranging for them to be stored again the following morning whilst we did a further walk before heading home.
