Always love the change from city-dwelling to semi-rural, don't you? This abode, not far from Newcastle and the A1, is the penultimate residence in the region. It has been converted to a 'hunting-lodge' theme which includes luxury as the paramount recipe. Our room with an en -suite had a unique character, redolent of classy old-world with premium comfort. If indulgence... More

We were looking for a quick noght away and iot was a bankl holiday weekend so all we checked were booked. We came across this place by accident while checking out our favourites in the north east area, and we are certainly glad we found it. Not so much of a hotel, but a very personal studio style apartment built... More

Amazing stay thanks to Janet. Could not fault our stay at all, room was amazing, breakfast the following day was also amazing. Jacuzzi outside was the perfect touch to our relaxing weekend. We ordered a takeaway as we just wanted to take full advantage of the jacuzzi but there is plenty to do round about. We have recommended this place... More

My usual hotel was full so had to search alternatives in the area. This is a gem of a find and is simply the best B&B I have ever stayed in! I had the Red Room. Total luxury, the best comforts, fabulous breakfast, the cleanest rooms, crispest sheets and the nicest hosts you could ever hope for. I'm fortunate enough... More

I was just here for one night on a business trip, it was just wonderful, from arriving to a warm welcome and a much appreciated pot of tea to the lovely breakfast in the morning. The Stables are close to the centre but you wouldn't know it, surrounded by fields and trees its a little oasis. The room was lovely... More

Stayed here with my girlfriend for her birthday. We stayed in the south studio and it was stunning. Beautifully laid out room/apartment. The attention to detail is brilliant you get so much more than you would in a high end hotel. Hottube, full sky access, dvds, real coffee, best breakfast delivered. We cannot wait to go back. Paid a little extra... More
