The service was faultless and Adriano The reception manageress was very helpfull indeed . If... more

We had our wedding here and stayed for two days after wards. Maria was wonderful with all our wedding arrangements and speaks perfect English! She arranged everything and spoke with my family who did not speak any Italian and helped the event run smoothly from start to finish. Our suite had a spa bath and a magical view of Mount... more

We had a family holiday here for 1 week in July 08. We stayed in a 2 bedroomed family suite which was perfect for families with 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms with interconnecting lobby. The views from the room balconies was absolutely amazing. To wake up every morning and look out at Mount Etna was priceless. Breakfast and the evening... more

beautiful location,it is NOT in taormina as mostly advertised, we liked its location better anyways, very hilly location, not a hike though for those out of shape. biggest problem was the deceipt and lies by the manager (sonia) of the hotel. we reserved and paid for a certain room with a view of the volcano, when we checked in, she... more

Hotel reception staff very pleasant. Restaurant - especially, Mariaella helpful. We were booked in for half board and thought the evening meals good value for money, especially the buffet evening, there were also two nights with live music. It would have been useful to have been able to have lunch at the pool occasionally but that service wasn't available. We... more

My partner and I enjoyed a wonderful week's stay here in July - very relaxing and romantic. Castelmola and the views from there (and the hotel) were stupendous. The hotel was excellent - friendly, professional and the rooms and communal areas were immaculate, tasteful and full of interesting artefacts. We loved the pool area and the service alongside this. This... more

My wife and I recently spent 11 nights at Villa Sonia . Superficially , that is in website and brochure photographs, the hotel looks very attractive . The reality is that , with the introduction of "period pieces " by way of furniture ( Harold Steptoe might have another name for it ! ) the whole place takes on a... more

This hotel was stunning!! I love the views it was just so beautiful looking over from the balcony or terrace area where you eat your dinner and you can see the mount etna in the background and whilst we was staying there it was erupting(only slightly) and you could see the lava running down the sides!! I stayed there with... more

We stayed at Villa Sonia in September 2008. The weather was rubbish, but we can't help mother nature. The hotel was ok, but definitely not 4*. The reception staff were very pleasant and very attentive. We stayed in the "garden rooms" which were separate from the hotel. It states in Holiday Options brochure that these rooms are down a path... more
