We had a glorious week here in June 2010. I've written a detailed review & posted it under Bananarama, since it is all the same resort now. Posted lots of pictures of our Island Pearl villa #26 and the grounds, too. more

Summary: This was our second family trip to the Island Pearl. Our latest visit was mid-June 2010. Our first visit was early-June 2009. Please see my first review dated 11/25/09, which is more comprehensive than this one. This post will be an update to the first review, so some of the basics won’t be covered again. I’ll note the things... more

I stayed at Island Pearl for 5 nights in June with a friend of mine and I enjoyed ever minute of it. Actually, when it was time to leave I was so sad that I tried extending my stay. It didn't happen for various reasons, but I think I will definitely go back as soon as I can. Hotel staff... more

West Bay Beach is gorgeous with lots of fun activities. The drawbacks of West Bay are that it can get flooded with day cruisers and there are several ugly mega resorts. You can fix all that by staying the Island Pearl where you are close enough to the action, but separate enough to still have peace and quiet. It is... more

This was a second trip to Roatan for my 18 year old daughter and myself (stayed in a cabana next door at Bananarama last time.) It was the first time to Honduras for my fiance and my daughter's girlfriend. After seeing the villas on our last trip we thought it would be the perfect choice for the 4 of us.... more

The Island Pearl offers an intimate and romantic environment with villa’s set back just a bit from the beach and some landscaping that offers a little more privacy. It’s a beautiful location and with charming villa’s filled with appeal! I especially like the balconies with chairs and hammocks where you can enjoy the breeze with a good book or conversation,... more

What a great jewel on West Bay Beach (the best beach on the island). Only 30 steps away from the warm Caribbean water. Walk the white powdery sand and let your mind unwind and realize you are truly in PARADISE!! Facing almost due west the sunsets are some of the best I have ever seen. My girlfriend, friend and I... more

I love the atmosphere at this resort (read my view under Bananarama Dive Resort) and highly recommend it for anyone that wants the option of socializing with other independant travellers, vacationers from neighbouring all-inclusive resorts, local expats, and the wonderful staff that work there. But I especially recommend a villa at the Island Pearl for more luxury, space and privacy.... more

We just loved our little beach front villa. We had a beautifully tiled bathroom in our suit. It was 50 feet from water and 300 feet from Thirsty Turtle Bar and Grill were we got free breakfast every morning. The fine dinning at the Vintage pearl restaraunt and wine cellar was 100 feet behind us, and we could use the... more
