Kind, polite and helpful staff! Accommodation was clean. We did not like the noise after 10pm and would have preferred to have a micro wave and a kettle in the apartment. Otherwise it was a fabulous experience!

Approaching the Stella del Mare Hotel Residence, it is confusing. The circular drive is blocked. There are only tiny signs that are hard to notice allowing 15 minute parking while unloading. And when you enter the compound, it is confusing as to where to register. Once you find the front desk, the check in is easy as long as you utilize the services of the mature manager vs. the young, untrained, clueless desk attendant. The rooms are clean, compact and nothing memorable. It is focused on mass quantity of visitors. The bed was hard and too low also. There is free WIFI but it is super slow usually. Breakfast is not included. The pool area is sufficient but inundated with families and children who tend to dominate the area. Would I stay here again? Never. Would I recommend it to others? Only to families of young children. However, there is a value issue. We paid around $160 per night. It is only worth at most $100. per night.

We stayed at this hotel at the end of May 2018 and it was a pretty nice surprise. Very clean and well equipped rooms - perfect for families with cjildren. Nice kitchen, dining area, quite spacious. The hotel is located at about .... 5 minutes walk from the beach. Points to improve: definitely breakfast which is quite limited - I would definitely work on that and have a nicer variety. The place is really nice and I would have loved to have breakfast at the hotel but instead we preferred to buy our own stuff and eat in the room or some place else.

Ci torneremo! Nice experience in this residence particularly recommended for families. Well equipped, clean, neutral but functional apartments. Good reception and proximity to everything. Restaurant beyond expectations. Breakfast to rethink. Recommended for families with children for equipped area, swimming pool and quiet / non-traffic areas. We will be back!

We stayed in July and we experienced a fantastic holiday! The room was really cosy, we had a double room, so that our two daughters slept in a big double bed together. The swimming pool was great, with Jacuzzi massage as well. All the area around and inside the hotel is really well kept and green, full of beautiful flowers and trees. The personnel was really kind and nice. To reach the seaside you have just to cross the "Pineta". The beach is sandy and the water is rather clean. Perfect for kids. There's not so much to do at night in the little village of Mazzanta, but the animation of the residence kept us company every evening. Just the restaurant has to improve its service, not as much as for the quality of food, which was good, but for the personnel...

We stayed in an appartment within the hotel, 2 large bedrooms with double beds, livingroom with kitchenette, bathroom with shower and large balcony with 4 p.table and chairs. It was very clean and loved our stay here. Had a nice stay, pool is nice, seperate childrens pool (no slide or something like that though), warm bubble bath inside makes your eyes tear (chlorine?). Animation is only italian speaking. The childrens disco starts at 21 h. After that the entertainment is very loud until late at night, so no quiet sitting on your balcony in the evening. Bar is good, restaurant is not great, worst pizza ever eaten here. Try Bagni Sirena in nearby Cecina (10 min drive) which is superb, next to the beach, great food (home made pasta, freshly caught seafood), kids can play on the beach while you eat and watch the sunset. Beach near the hotel is within 5 min walk through a pineforest. You have a free beach or a beach club with beds. Vada with its white caribbean beaches and light blue sea is a 10 min drive away, lovely beach, but bring lots of sunblocker and a parasol!

We have stayed in the residence for 2 weeks, from Aug 17 to 31st. I would rate my experience as medium. Compared to the prices and comfort we had in other hotels in Italy on the sea coast, here value for money is not absolute. The apartment was not 100% clean, a bed was broken and my child has fallen down at night. Also compared to other hotels and even campings, evening animation is rahter poor. However, we did enjoyed our vacation, my children every day participated in baby dance. So, I would rate the hotel for 3 points out of 5.

We arrived residence Stella Del Mare and where immediately impressed by the pool-area and the apartment. We had booked an apartment with 2 bedrooms. First evening we went for a walk to see the area, and to get some dinner. We ended up eating at the "restaurant" at the hotel, because we could't find any other place to eat in Mazzanta. The restaurant at the hotel is also more of a cafeteria than a good quality restaurant. Next day we walked more and where able to find one OK looking restaurant close by the hotel, and a few not that good looking pizza places, 1 small supermarket and a supermarket/butcher. We found no other hotels, only holiday apartments. Beach area is Good, but does also miss a good restaurant/eating place as an supplement to the cafeteria on site. It seems that Mazzanta, where the hotel is located, is organized like a vacation town filled with holiday apartments where you need car to get to the good food stores and shopping facilities in the nearby towns Vada and Cecina, and where you are supposed to cook your own food in the apartment and not eat at restaurants. If you comes by car, like to cook your own food or eat all meals at the same 2-3 poor looking restaurants/Pizzerias the whole holiday, don't need shopping possibilities nearby, and don't need to have an good working Internet available in the room/apartment Residence Stella Del Mare is a good resort with nice rooms and apartments, nice pool and good location close to the beach. Be aware of the fact that the Internet works some times and sometimes not, and that the sound from the families in the apartments besides you is load and clear. If you have a noisy or quiet family close by can actually decide if your holiday will be good or poor. If you don't like to live your holiday at the rom/apartment when your not at the beach/pool, and don't like to have your children awake until 23.00 in the evening because of an extremely load "baby show" between 21.00 and 23.00, which also makes it impossible and not very interesting to use the big lovely balcony outside the apartment in the evenings :-( And if you like to have several alternatives on restaurants, shops, food stores and other infrastructure nearby, included internet available when you want it to be available, don't choose Residence Stella Del Mare or any other place in Mazzanta. Book a hotel in Cecina instead which is a lovely town with Beachfront hotels, restaurants and shopping, and a city center with even more possibilities for eating and shopping, less than 10 minutes driving south of Mazzanta. The beaches is also nicer in Cecina than in Mazzanta.

We stayed at Residence Villette Tina, an apartment complex administered by the Stella del Mare staff. First of all, I would certainly recommend Villette Tina as a place for summer holiday. The apartment we stayed in was just ideal (new furnishing, very clean and tidy, all necessary kitchen equipment was in place). The apartment complex is very nice; we had a small garden in front of our apartment where our daughter could play during the day. The staff was great - we had a small problem which resolved immediately. The beach is approximately 3-4 min by walk - easy to handle even with small children. Negatives: The apartment complex is closed to a small disco and lunapark with loud music in the evenings, but it was not annoying. I WOULD LIKE TO THANK VILLETTE TINA AND STELLA DEL MARE STAFF FOR A VERY ENJOYBLE STAY.
