Not too many places where you'l see TWO KILLER WHALES heading up the inlet as you experience April's Breakfast and her roots knowledge of this mythical place. This is Masset BC. Canada not Hoot and Holler Texas. Come and meet the local folk and see the creativity that comes with living in tune with your natural world. April's Creatuions come... More

We were actually supposed to stay in the sister B&B (Haida Gwaii Lodge) but they were having a repair done and we were moved to April's current home. We had a lovely smallish bedroom that did not have a view, but our very large bathroom did. From these windows in the morning I witnessed many bald eagles catching their breakfast... More

This B&B has a wonderful location in Masset--it's within walking distance to all the restaurants and to the wildlife area and with easy car access to the road going out to Tow Hill area. We stayed in the Eagles Nest room and had a great view of the water and nice breezes at night. It was great to be hosted... More

April White was a very gracious host, full of information and pride of her homeland. The waterfront B & B was well appointed and comfortable, we felt very much at home. The home is filled with many of April's wonderful artwork and, as she knows or is related to many artists in the area, she was able to direct us to... Well from the front door, you are greeted with art on every wall, which pulls you into the view of the ever changing ocean and its beauty. Then April is there to welcome you into her world a talented intelligent woman. This house caters to every diet issue. And the family style breakfast is a treat indeed when seated with the... More

We spent 4 fabulous days staying at April White's bed and breakfast/art gallery. April is an extremely accomplished artist and a descendant of the famous Haida artist Charles Edenshaw and those genes are evident in her creations. Incidentally April's work is on display on BC Ferry's Northern Adventure. This was a rich experience talking with April, her extended family and... More

This is not your usual bed & breakfast (unless you want a usual bed & breakfast). It's more like living in a gallery, rich with Haida artwork and culture. Our group breakfasts stretched out to 2 hours sometimes as we got to know the hosts, learned about Haida Gwaii and the Haida culture, and talked with other guests about their... More

The best B&B in Masset. You're staying in the midst of a world class art gallery with the artist April as your hostess. The breakfast is first class. An outstanding fresh fatata with coffee, juices, toast and homemade jam, yogurt with fruit and a lovely view. April is the best hostess and owner we've encountered in our travels.

We straggled in late on a rainy afternoon and found the Eagles Feast to be welcoming and warm with a beautiful view of the staggering weather...while sipping something warm in a comfy living room. April's art is fantastic, and when I presented her with the double whammy of being vegetarian and gluten free, she didn't bat an eyelash. Breakfast was... More

My husband and I enjoyed a warm welcome and comfortable stay in April's waterfront home in Masset. We were surrounded with her beautiful art work and enjoyed delicious breakfasts made with local berries including huckleberries, salal and salmon berries, fresh fruit, home baking and much more. April invited us to a historic potlatch in Old Masset and gave us helpful... More
