We had 2 nights in the boat loft. It was absolutely amazing, presentation of the loft was the best & enjoying the hottub next to the river was superb. We sat in the tub looking out on the river and you could watch people coming up & down the river in the rowing boats, but you had the priversy of... More

We visited the cottages 9th May, and had a fantastic time. The location is excellent with the river at the rear of the cottages, the on site cafe serving lovely food and the local village and pub just a few minutes walk away. There is also the miniature railway, boating lake and crazy golf all close by, within walking distance.... More

We stayed here for Easter weekend; It was our second visit but will not be our last. This is a wonderful place for a weekend break. The riverside retreats are exactly as described. Situated within metres of the River Esk, the cottage we stayed in was perfect for the two of us and our dog. Extremely comfortable, well fitted out... More

Clean and well maintained cottages. The view is gorgeous and I can imagine you could spend hours sat by the river relaxing on a nice sunny day. Cafe was closed due to being out of season, which was a shame. Steam trains came rolling by and there is plenty of wildlife and the odd rowing boat passing. We stayed in... More
