Ok so my review is slightly biased as my friend had booked this as her wedding venue so that could have something to do with the super stay we had. However I have to say that my first thought was ' oh god its a best western and a 3 star', I also looked at photo's on the Superbreak website... more

I stayed in room 205 which was large with a massive bed and good furnishings. The view from this room is across to the lake and parkland through which you can take a pleasant stroll. A nice touch was a bowl of fruit and mints in the room. The bathroom was large with his and hers sinks, a powerful walk-in... more

Nice hotel set in lovely grounds, the reception has a rather odd little manequin butler set to one side. On first impressions my room was delightful, room 312 has a massive bed, huge flat screen telly and an enormous bath room complete with dual sinks, stand alone bath and walk in shower with one of the multiple headed units, however... more

The hotel is situated in beautiful grounds with impressive views. Lovely scenery, lovely grounds. The receptionist was friendly and the room had loads of character and clean. The bed was very comfortable The only downside was that it was overlooking the car park! probably because we got a special rate for a double room (405) for £68.50. The price of... more

Beautifully appointed hotel with the most miserable staff I have ever had the displeasure of staying with. I didn't feel so much like a guest as an inconvenience. A smile certainly seemed unattainable to most of the staff which was a shame as the room, food and surroundings were lovely. Also, silly rules such as 'you can't eat bar snacks... more

I just wanted to say that since submitting my review of my stay in room 406 i have written to the hotel querying the standard of room i was given. The manager replied saying that yes i had not been given a deluxe room and have kindly offered me a free return stay in a deluxe room this time. I... more

My husband and I have just returned from a one night stay for our 24th wedding anniversary. We got an amazing offer of £88.00 for the both of us for a deluxe room and bed, breakfast and evening meal. The deluxe room was the best room we have stayed in, with gorgeous view of the lake, bathroom was huge with... more

The look of the hotel from the outside was great; just what we expected, very picturesque and the lake looked stunning. The food and quality of waitress service in the hotel restaurant was excellent - would reccomend eating here. The breakfast was not value for money and I wouldn't reccommend taking breakfast if you had a choice. I would describe... more
