We stayed at this Motel in August for 3 nights. Please keep in mind it is a Motel in a small Ontario town and your expectations should be adjusted accordingly. For the price it is a good value. Yes it's dated but it was clean, the owners are very friendly and helpful. The rooms are painted in a very fun... More

We needed an overnight for 2 adults, one tween and a busy 1 year old Brittany (dog). We arrived to a spotless room with all the fittings: good comfy beds, abundance of hotwater, TV which pulled in a lot of channels. Even a microwave, coffee maker and mini fridge were included in there. The walls had a whimsical hand painted... More

This place was OK, but not great. It wasn't filthy, but could have been cleaner. There were a few dead moths that had dried and stuck to the counter in the bathroom. The room itself was relatively clean but the bathroom wasn't the cleanest. Also, as soon as we walked into the room there were already many bugs (a few... More

A buddy and I have been been to this motel multiple times over the past few winters, very nice clean rooms, great location, not to far from the snowmobile trail, and the owners are awesome, always enjoy heading back up to see Mel and his family! Corey

We are repeat visitors to the motel and after deciding to spend the Holidays here once we were pleasently surprised! This year will be our fourth year enjoying the peace and comfort of the Algonquin for our Christmas. The hosts, Mel and Sharmi are wonderfully accommodating and a joy to be around! The rooms are clean and the service is... More

Stayed here in the fall of 2013. Was intrigued by the funky hand painted décor. Owners very friendly and helpful, and the motel provided clean, spacious rooms and very comfy beds. It was convenient to have fridge and microwave in the room. Would stay again.

Good value. Friendly owners, kept very clean. Three BBQs available for use. Fridge and micro in rooms. Internet worked most of the time. Had to go to office a couple of times to have them reset it. We there for three weeks for work.

A long overdue review of this. Stayed there for two nights for a event that y was going at the nearby Chocpaw. I assumed that this was going to be not a good two nights and was pleasantly surprised by the motel. The check in & check out was prompt and courteous. The rooms were a big surprise - nice,... More

We arrived very late, retrieved the key from the office, and were awed by the feel of the place. From the bikes on the roof, to the painted rainbow above the office door, and groovy glass beads, plus beautiful murals inside the room. We stared at a grizzly bear from our bed, and there was a black bear somewhere else... More
