Don't count on there being internet, ceiling tiles are rotted out and look nasty, doors don't close properly and locks have been broken into on doors, patio door has no lock and you have to use stick to keep anyone out

We apologize for your unpleasant experience. Unfortunately the Bernard Suites are our older units that have not been renovated - a detail we try to inform our guests of. The building is, however, the only unit that permits pets and smoking. Regarding the ceiling tiles - we've just recently had the roof repaired and the ceiling tiles have been replaced.... More

I love old hotels that have history and yet have managed to stay current. This, sadly is not one of these places. Not that it is run down or cold or dirty, it just looks like nobody cares. Lobby is painted in dated Dusty Rose hue. There are no interesting historical pictures or a list of the hotel's notable past... More

Dilapidated, run down , leaks in ceilings, washrooms unfit , rooms that should have been changed 25 years ago, resort in name only, its that bad folks....staff is surly....and service lacking, no wonder they want you to pay up front. This place needs to be torn down and rebuilt, yep its that bad......I didn't stay here only visited for an... More

We are sorry to hear your stay was unpleasant. The building is well over 100 years old and there is an attempt to maintain the atmosphere of that time. We will do more to ensure people's stay with us is more enjoyable. As for the bedding, please be assured all of our linens are laundered daily. More

Stay away from this place. Sleeping on the street would be more comfortable. If you hate someone send them here for a stay. Rooms are dirty, dark and dingy. We wouldn't stay there again even if it was free. I don't know how the local health inspector would even pass this place. When we walked into the lobby I could... More

Awful - room stinks like a bottle of bad perfume has been spilled all over. Bathroom door squeeks (no excuse for that - doesn't the maid put in for any repairs needed? Do the owners not care?) - not good for the other person in the middle of the night., Bed jiggles like jelly, so can't even move, let alone... More

It's no wonder they want you to pay for your room up front. If you saw the room first, you'd probably leave. Seriously thought about sleeping in the back of the car. Rooms are old, outdated and have an over powering smell of air freshener. People down the driveway had mold in their unit. In reality, it's a run down... More

Tiny, stinky room with unusable closet, washroom door has to be forced past the basin. Well-meaning but really stupid staff. Our son had a "pet-friendly" room ---- for "pet-friendly" read "slum". Very overpriced. The only thing worse than the room was the restaurant. I have entertained all my friends with the tale of our dinner, and they are rolling on... More

Pros - Staff were very friendly and the location was quiet. Cons - The cabins and motel area of the resort needs much improvement on the interior and exteriors. Lamp posts outside our room in much need of new paint. Bathroom door could not be opened fully because it bumped into the toilet. When you sat on the toilet your... More

Especially if you have a pet,, do not stay here. You get stuffed into a prehistoric room with no internet, no hot water, a television the size of a toaster and no help or compensation for this disaster.

Advertise free WIFI - how about NO WIFI! No hot water even after running it for 1/2 hr. So if you take a shower don't use any cold water just turn on hot full blast - no worries about scalding it only gets luke warm. Wall paper peeling off concrete block it is pasted to. Gungy space heater. Musty odour... More
