My parents and I stayed here for a few days in February and came away feeling like we'd made new friends. Monique was absolutely brilliant, so friendly and really made us feel at home. I'm learning French and she also really helped me with that too! The rooms were lovely and the hotel is situated right in the centre of... More

We were in Leucate to look for houses in preparation to move there. Les Maisons de Monsieur Pierre was a true find. The welcome from Monique was warm and friendly. The rooms were very French and beautifully furnished. They were spotlessly clean and very comfortable. The food was delicious with many home made and home grown ingredients. Everyone was so... More

One of the most helpful hosts on our trip, as we wanted to explore the French coast down to the Spanish border. Our room was large, quiet and pleasant. While parking was somewhat difficult, Monique was adept at helping us find a space. Really a good place to relax, walk to restaurants and enjoy the beach.

Nice room in a very quiet town and amidst a lovely scenery. An extraordinary and welcoming host and a delicious and unforgetable French breakfast. We particularly appreciated the assistance provided by Monique to find us a place at a restaurant for New Year's Eve. We will repeat it.

This is a great place to stay, we stayed in the 'Empire' room which had a massive very comfortable bed and air conditioning. Monique was very helpful in suggesting which beaches to visit during the day and which restaurants to eat at in the evening. Breakfast was taken in the courtyard garden and each morning there was a vast array... More

My husband and I had traveled to various regions of France before, always staying in small, family-run places. That was our 4th trip to the country. So, we had some basic knowledge of what to expect from Les Maisons. We loved it. We decided not to go to museums this time, but when we saw this hotel, we realized that... More

We stayed only one night, but should have stayed longer. Our hosts were wonderful, my French is not very good, but Monique was very patient, she welcomed us with coffee, and a tour of her beautiful garden. Our room was perfect, lots of room, and the bed was huge, and so comfortable, I had the best sleep of our vacation.... More

I had a great stay and ran into some interesting people – all of them long time repeat guests. I wish hospitality was this way everywhere in France – not only in the pays des cathares. Thank you and stay as you are.

This is a real gem of a hotel and town. A real French experience. Unbeatable in value and so much more than the big cities. Thoroughly recommend. 18 jams and marmalades, all home made, for breakfast. Room spotless and full of antiques and character. Village has everything - an afternoon in the town sqare area with a local meal and... More
