This is the only luxury Ger in the desert and it is expensive, we booked as we wanted bathrooms, rooms ok but definitely basic. The food was terrible it was like being in a scouts camp served fast and furious and not hot and basic everyone complained. 2 nights max in this camp and make sure you cover all the... More

This camp is a long way from anywhere (about 70 kms to the airport and 30 kms to the local village all on dirt tracks) and consists of about 20 individual accommodation Gers sparsely set around the central dining and entertainment area. Rooms consist of 2 small Gers joined together. There is one universal power point near the sink. No... More

After a long drive on dirt tracks from the airport you come to a group of about forty gers around a small permanent building which is the restaurant. The gers consist of the one small basic room with a king size bed, an iron stove for warmth in the middle, a coffee table and two chairs and a wooden rod... More

Three camel lodge is outstanding in every way! We loved our guide, driver, hikes, food and our amazing her. The dinner at the flaming cliffs and the day at the Nadeem festival were very special. I loved the ger's and the amazing energy of the place.

We went to Three Camel Lodge at the beginning of our 2nd week in Mongolia. Having stayed at several basic and quite normal Ger camps - here we entered a slice of heaven. The Ger's with bath attached are almost magical - large, simplistic and elegant. The Dining Room - staff can not do enough for you, breakfast has a... More

I just returned from four days at Three Camel Lodge in the Gobi. You will not find anywhere nicer or more welcoming than this lodge in the Gobi. Book a deluxe ger to avoid having to walk a short way for a shower. The food is good but not great. The staff couldn't be friendlier. The gers are spacious, clean,... More

Despite the expensive price, which is advertised to include all meals, upon our check-out when we were trying to depart we were told we "owed more money" because we "ate more food than normal." What a joke and scam! We ate like normal, active adults. So silly and a reflection of a lack of good management oversight. In addition, though... More

Dear Traveler, We are extremely surprised to hear that you were charged for extra food. In our 13 years as a lodge we have never heard of anyone experiencing this. We would like to get more details in order to investigate your claim that you were charged for extra food and asked to pay $50 for a 1 hour bike... More

We traveled to Mongolia as part of a group tour, part of which was a visit to Mongolia. We flew from Ulanbaataar (or 'UB') on a small plane 1hr 15mins to the small airport in the Gobi. The lodge is simply fantastic, both in its charm, as well as its location. The Gers are truly lovely and the deluxe ones... More

My last stay at Three Camel Lodge to date, I was with my mother for a short vacation there to show her the beauty of Gobi desert. Not only the places (Flaming Cliffs, Moltsog Els Sand Dunes, Havtsgait Petroglyphs) we visited and activities (camel riding, hiking, etc) we did were of great enjoyment for my mother, but also, she truly... Beautiful setting, awesome food in the middle of nowhere, great facilities and the only ger in MOngolia with possible attached toilets ( though this is top dollar ger)! Everything was fine...and more than as expected in a desert! highly recommended... however, its much cheaper to hire your own driver, car and map your own things to see around.Private hires available...
