We traveled to Mongolia as part of a group tour, part of which was a visit to Mongolia. We flew from Ulanbaataar (or 'UB') on a small plane 1hr 15mins to the small airport in the Gobi. The lodge is simply fantastic, both in its charm, as well as its location. The Gers are truly lovely and the deluxe ones... More

My last stay at Three Camel Lodge to date, I was with my mother for a short vacation there to show her the beauty of Gobi desert. Not only the places (Flaming Cliffs, Moltsog Els Sand Dunes, Havtsgait Petroglyphs) we visited and activities (camel riding, hiking, etc) we did were of great enjoyment for my mother, but also, she truly... Beautiful setting, awesome food in the middle of nowhere, great facilities and the only ger in MOngolia with possible attached toilets ( though this is top dollar ger)! Everything was fine...and more than as expected in a desert! highly recommended... however, its much cheaper to hire your own driver, car and map your own things to see around.Private hires available... This is certainly the best place to stay in the Gobi with its luxury gers and amazing facilities. Stunning sunsets and cozy bar are also great points to be raving about. However it is super expensive and only for those who can afford to travel in style. Set in the beautiful gobi landscape and very close to all major sights,... More

Finding such a place in the middle of the Gobi desert is amazing. It is a great place to see the flaming cliffs(about 45 minutes drive), site of the first dinosaurs excavations. The accommodation is basic with common shower rooms. If you are lucky you will get hot water as the geysers are solar heated(it was August, cloudy and 7C... More

After five nights in a basic but very livable ger camp associated with a festival, I could scarcely believe the luxury of Three Camel Lodge. Indoor plumbing, reliable electricity, excellent cuisine (with fresh vegetables and salads!), in a spectacular setting. We were fortunate that Camp owner Jalsa Urubshurow was present with personal guests, and organized a naadam just down the... More

This eco-lodge set against a small hill in the middle of nowhere was a perfect base to explore the Gobi Desert. The Flaming Cliffs (hiking and viewing dinosaur fossils), sand dunes (camel riding and climbing), and petroglyphs up to 5000 years old are among the many features of the area. The lodge has a few dozen permanent gets made of... More

What can I say? Flourless chocolate cake for dessert, fresh salads (in a country where they believe only goats eat greens), a lounge with a large, open fireplace, a library of DVDs, staff that comes to your ger to build a fire in your wood stove at 6pm and even 4am (upon request), an ensuite sink and toilet, L'Occitane toiletries,... So lets be honest, you are in one of the most remote places on the planet so its not like you have a heap of choice. That said you will be more than comfortable at the Three Camels lodge. The food was great and quite agreeable to the western palate if you struggle with local cuisine. Sitting smoking a cigar... More

This is an amazing property where you stay in Mongolian style "Ger" while enjoying the luxury of a boutique property. The food is outstanding, the service staff pays attention to every detail and very customer oriented. Our guide " Eggy" and the drivers were very friendly. It is a beautiful country with an amazing landscape and very friendly people.
