We really enjoyed our stay. The building is lovely. We stayed in one if the basic rooms, the Reed room. It had its own small balcony which we really enjoyed. Everything was really clean and well maintained and the staff were really friendly and helpful. The hotel restaurant was also great, the food was of a high standard. I definitely... More

What a treat to start our holiday with an upgrade to the honeymoon suite. The hotel is clean, charming and the beds supremely comfortable. We stayed for three nights and tried both the hotel's dinner menu as well as those of the nearby restaurants. The chef at the hotel served up some fabulous meals, which we really enjoyed. The Saronsberg... More

arrived to a nice looking hotel only to be greeted and told we are a across the road from the actual hotel. Antique room but with all the amenities needed. Chocolates on the pillow were a nice touch. Can hear saronsburgs theatre until late due to loud music. Overall a pretty good all rounder

Dear Sonya Always a pleasure to welcome you back to the Tulbagh Hotel. Delighted you had the opportunity to stay in our romantic Van Riebeek heritage room. I love how the shower is in the old chimney and you can still gaze up the floodlit chimney as you shower! Our new autumn menu is about to start, so I hope... More

Great value in Tulbagh. Rooms are big, bathrooms modern and staff very friendly. The only real problem was the street noise, being situated in a very busy park of the Main road. Will visit again, but will ask for quieter room though.

Thank you for your kind review. I was pleased to read that we offer 'great value' and that the staff were friendly and helpful. The couple of rooms that can be disturbed by traffic noise are having work carried out over the next few days to resolve this issue. Hope to welcome you back soon. Regards Alasdair More

Dear Tamzyn I would like to apologise for your recent experiences with regard to the use of discount vouchers, but your use of emotive language does you no credit. As with many other businesses we try to manage our revenue income, and in quieter times of the year this includes the use of vouchers which reduce our income to 40%... More

I found this hotel a very pleasant and enjoyable stay. The staff were friendly and very helpful. The food was delicious and the fact that they offer breakfast, lunch and supper made it very convenient for a short stay. The room was comfortable and clean. I hope to return soon.

We spent a Sunday and Monday evening at the Hotel and found the staff most friendly and helpful. We were blessed by management and put the Saronsberg suite which was absolutely fantastic. The hotel is peaceful, the food was great and pool area relaxing.

Neil many thanks for your review. Pleased you had the opportunity to stay in the Saronsberg Suite. It is my favourite room, and so cosy in winter with it's own fireplace. Hope you will visit us again soon. Regards Alasdair More
