We went for the Tongariro Crossing walk and had a great 3 days. The room was warm, clean and tidy. The Lodge is good value for money and they organised the shuttle bus perfectly. The kitchen facilities looked good but could be better advertised on the website.

Comfortable, warm, facilities absolutely fine. Good staff. Kitchen facilities excellent set up. Loved the spa! Stayed a couple of nights to walk the Tongariro Crossing. Went with Adrift - fantastic team, excellent guides and support. Definitely would use again and recommend. Good shop to be able to hire gear.

Despite not staying at the lodge they were very accommodating with information and transfer for our Tongariro crossing experience. I would highly recommend them if you are considering staying at National park for the Tongariro crossing. Helpful and informative web site and phone booking was very effective.

We have 6 ppl stay in the suite for Tongariro crossing, large and clean room with huge bathroom. Love the big kitchen. Shower is a bit problem for 6, no hot water aft 3 showers. Hope the hot water sylinder can be improved. Good value, recommended for crossing and ski.

My husband and I stayed at Howard's Lodge for two nights at the beginning of January. The room was clean and spacious and the staff were friendly and helpful. The day we were scheduled to get shuttled to the Tongariro Crossing, the weather was forecast to deteriorate as the day went on so the staff rescheduled our bus departure time... More
