This was my second time staying here and I was not disappointed on either visit. There seem to be lots of options for all budgets. We took the opportunity to utilise all facilities over our two visits. Enjoying the breakfasts from the cafe menu (very tasty), and the restaurant food in the evening was quite tasty and not unreasonably priced... More

The Park Travellers Lodge is back packer type accommodation and is ideal for those doing the famous Tongariro Crossing walk. My room was typical of what you would expect for this type of accommodation...adequate and basic. The walls were a bit thin and the kitchens for guests use a bit grubby and untidy. Some of the furniture in the communal... More

The Park delivers accommodation for most budgets, from dormitory, to shared rooms on up. Budget guests can access a kitchen to cook their own food, and a TV room/ lounge; and there's a drying room. A small bar, and a short menu of well priced sturdy meals aimed at active visitors. The hotel can supply or organise cycle and tramping... More

Booked a voucher deal weekend with The Travellers Lodge and was really happy with what we got for what we paid. Had a loft room with ensuite and tea/coffee making facilities and microwave. The bed was average and walls a bit thin, but that didn't stop me from sleeping through the night despite being a light sleeper. The service at... More

Excellent stay, great service, awesome location. Highly recommend! We stayed in a private room which was ideal. Food in restaurant was good, quick and friendly service. Clean, good value. Definitely stay again when in the area.

Good location for exploring the area. Rooms with private facilities were good. Walls are wafer thin which can be an issue (was for us on the last night). Kitchen facilities not as well maintained as YHA facilities. Staff could have been a little more helpful regards walk options and parking restrictions at walk start locations. Overall stay was ok.

Friendly service and good amenities available. Onsite bar and restaurant were great, other options available next door but we felt no need to move. Packed lunches are a good size even for the blokes, buffet breakfast had good range but could have used a bit of attention (soggy hash browns, watery eggs when running low). Rooms were a good size... We stayed here for a weekend to walk the Tongariro Crossing. While the rooms were basic, that was all we needed. The staff were helpful, service was great and meals were nice and reasonably priced. The inclusive transport to and from the crossing was well organised and on time.
