A small group of us ladies stayed here over the weekend to get away and walk the Tongariro Crossing - such a great team here, going above and beyond even helping out with a spare backpack when I forgot mine for the crossing!! Great food, great hot tubs for relaxing after the crossing and comfy beds at the end of... More

Stayed here two nights to do the Tongariro Crossing. Rooms small but practical. Water pressure in the shower amazing!! Having hot tubs available took away the initial aches and pains. Superb meal in the restaurant. Door to door service with transport to and from the walk. Equipment available for hire - thanks JJ - the poles made all the difference... More

Perfect for the Tongariro Crossing accommodation. Good facilities and attentive staff. We processed without any problems excursion to Tongariro, that it seems every morning exits the hotel van. The only problem we had in the room was dirt in the room with many insects and the room was pretty tight for 4 adults, and there are only 2 chairs to... More

My wife and I spent the weekend at The Park Hotel when doing the Tongariro Crossing. The hotel also has a Backpackers section. The hotel rooms were clean and very simple. The furnishings were old but adequate. The standout of the hotel were the helpful staff. All seem to be young foreigners travelling and working. They had a very good... More

We stayed here for one night after we did the Tongariro Crossing. The hostel is ideally located for the trek. We stayed in a 6 bed dorm. The room was clean and was en suite which was great. The beds were comfortable and there was plenty of room for backpacks. The kitchen was clean, spacious and fully equipped. There were... More

My partner and I stayed here for two nights so that we could hike the Tongariro Crossing. We enjoyed our stay - the room was cosy and comfortable. After hiking the crossing we had dinner in the restaurant and the food was delicious! We both had burgers and were really impressed with the quality and portion considering the price. The... More

Staff were super friendly. Rooms were good size, shower was hot. Guest kitchen available and fridge and tea kettle in room. Nice "common areas" for eating, reading. Hot tubs and BBQs also available. Good location for exploring Tongariro and Whanganui. Wi-Fi was at a cost.

This hotel is very reasonably priced and I think what it offers is about right for what you pay. If you want plush mattresses and quiet solitude, then this isn't the right place for you. However if that is what you want, you probably should be looking for four star hotels. But if you want to meet some really lovely... More

This is a good hotel to stay in if you are visiting National Park. It is a friendly hotel which is clean and has everything you could need. Whilst there isn't good views from the rooms, the friendly bar/ eating area has fantastic views of the mountains. Staff were friendly and very helpful. I would definitely stay again.

Located in National Park Village this hotel is close to the crossing - transport is offered as well. The standard twin room is fine for a couple of nights stay, fairly clean, but not in any way extravagant. All the rooms face the courtyard, so don't expect scenic views. All the staff was very friendly.
