Staff were super friendly. Rooms were good size, shower was hot. Guest kitchen available and fridge and tea kettle in room. Nice "common areas" for eating, reading. Hot tubs and BBQs also available. Good location for exploring Tongariro and Whanganui. Wi-Fi was at a cost.

This hotel is very reasonably priced and I think what it offers is about right for what you pay. If you want plush mattresses and quiet solitude, then this isn't the right place for you. However if that is what you want, you probably should be looking for four star hotels. But if you want to meet some really lovely... More

This is a good hotel to stay in if you are visiting National Park. It is a friendly hotel which is clean and has everything you could need. Whilst there isn't good views from the rooms, the friendly bar/ eating area has fantastic views of the mountains. Staff were friendly and very helpful. I would definitely stay again.

Located in National Park Village this hotel is close to the crossing - transport is offered as well. The standard twin room is fine for a couple of nights stay, fairly clean, but not in any way extravagant. All the rooms face the courtyard, so don't expect scenic views. All the staff was very friendly.

Mattresses weren't as nice as I have been staying but still okay. Shower pressure was great and hot water. Laundry facilities were clean and fast. Good value for your money. We had six girls to one room. Rooms were a bit small and so was the bathroom to share with six girls.

We stayed here with a GrabOne voucher for two nights, including continental breakfast, transport to and from the crossing and packed lunch. Sometimes, with these kind of deals, the hotel turns out to be not very nice, and they need the vouchers to bring in business. Not so with this place - we were pleasantly surprised with almost every aspect!... More

we stayed at the park hotel to do the tongariro crossing and we're very pleased after having stayed in other hotels in this area before. The rooms were very clean, had great amenities for the price and the property is in a good location (walking distance to other activities, restaurants, bars and four square. The hotel bar's happy hour was... More

The Park Hotel is a comfortable hotel to stay in the National Park when you are doing the Tongariro Crossing. It isn't a fancy hotel but the rooms are nice, the beds were comfortable, there is a small hot tub to relax in after the hike. The atmosphere of the restaurant area was really nice. There is a hotel shuttle... More

This hotel is a great place to stay if you are going to spend time in Tongariro National Park or if you are doing the Alpine Crossing. We stayed here for one night and the hotel was pretty nice, nothing over the top or fancy about it, but it is a good place to stay. Rooms were clean and staff... More
