This was a surprise trip for my partner's 40th. I went through 'Discover the World' after a friend's recommendation. It is not the cheapest of destinations, but the experience is worth every penny. The company were excellent and had thought of every thing you may have asked for and provided it within the cost. The night at the ice hotel... More

Not much I can add to what has gone before. The Icehotel is the most wonderful place to visit, and even more of a delight to get married in! We didn't meet anyone who wasn't completely overwhelmed by the whole experience. We stayed for one night in a Design Suite, and four nights in a Northern Lights chalet. All our... More

We just came back from Jukkasjarvi's Ice Hotel: March 1-4. My husband organized this trip thru Discover the World in London. I wasn't too thrilled at the idea of going to freezing temps (what are we going to DO for 4 days??) but I was SOLD the minute we arrived! The nonstop SAS service from London is FANTASTIC! Well organized... More

Have just returned from three nights at the Icehotel - it is an incredible experience. I thought it might be helpful to give some details about the various rooms - I would have appreciated the information beforehand! Ice Rooms Basic rooms are just that - a wooden frame lifted off the floor on ice blocks - but you still get... More

My other half and I are just back from a 4 night stay at Icehotel (3 nights warm, one night cold). It's the best thing we've ever done! - Yes it's expensive - but if you don't realise that when you book it then on your own head be it... - Yes it's cold - but wrap up warmly and... More

Just returned from a 3 night break, one night in Stockholm and the other at the magical Ice Hotel. Well at the risk of sounding repetitive - this place is just so so so amazing!! We arrived in Kiruna and I had booked a the husky sled transfer as a surprise for my husband. This is pretty expensive - but... More

Just do it - it really is amazing. I stayed one night during an adventure holiday and loved it. Unfortunately we came back late from dog sledding so only had half an hour to dash round the Icehotel's 30-plus amazing design suites before they closed at 6pm. It was like being in Alice in Wonderland with some truly beautifully lit... More

Don't be put off by wingeing reviews from Londoners ! A trip like this is what one makes it. We found our stay in the Ice Hotel a wonderful experience. Staff are pleasant and helpful and we recommend at least one night in a cold room. The dog sleigh ride to view the northern lights was unforgettable and the moose/reindeer... More

If you're thinking of visiting the Ice Hotel, don't delay, it is an experience that will stay with you for the rest of your life! I booked a 4 day winter sports adventure with Explore, the Ice Hotel being part of the package and was without doubt one of the best short breaks I have been on. We booked a... More
