Travelled to the Ice Hotel after starting at Abisko with Discover the world. Abisko hotel basic but clean, little trek to the base of the mountain to catch the chairlift to the top, you will need decent walking shoes/boots and you cannot get warm clothing until you get to the lift. Warm refreshments at the top. We were lucky enough... More

We have visited the ice hotel twice now and are due to return again in February 2012. This is one of the most beautiful places on this planet. We always stay in the warm accommodation as I am a bit of a home comfort bird and like my warmth!! I would say to anyone who really wants to visit the... More

I think this attraction is unique and charming. The ticket is quite expensive but completely worthy: you'll spend at least 2 hours walking around in the ice hall, the simple rooms and all the different suites (every year they are different and designed by different artists from all over the world). Everything is carved in ice and snow and some... More

My second trip to Ice Hotel and just a brilliant experience to stay in one of the cold rooms!! The night we stayed it was -5c and you get a certificate to that effect. The ice sculptures are wonderful and the ice chapel is beautiful. Fantastic breakfast in lovely surroundings. We went on the snowmobile northern lights tour but unfortunately... More

We were lucky enough to visit and stay at the Ice Hotel in Feb 2011. We decided to have 1 night in warm accomodation and 1 night in an Art Suite in the Ice Hotel. All I can say is wow ! This really is a once in a lifetime trip and we organised the travel and trips independently, as... More

My boyfriend is Swedish, and when I visited him from November to January, I told him that I'd love to see the Ice Hotel when we travelled up north. On our two week trip, this is one of the places I won't forget. We first arrived on a lovely -26 degree Celsius day, but it was dark, so we returned... More

My partner and I stayed for 1 night at the Ice Hotel, Sweden in February 2011. We decided to stay in a warm room after doing a LOT of research on the internet. We only had 1 night there and were heading off for a week long husky trip after the Ice Hotel, so decided to have a little bit... More
