Stayed at the Ice Hotel for two nights beginning February as part of a package tour with Discover the World (who were excellent and would definitely recommend as they are the only company who fly direct to Kiruna Airport, thus saving a changeover at Stockholm) Reps were on hand at Heathrow, Kiruna and the Ice Hotel to sort out any... just returned from 3 nights arranged by 'Discover the World'. Staying 2 nights in the warm and one in an ice room in the ice hotel. We flew direct from Heathrow to Kiruna, a meal and drinks were included on the flight. The chalets are well equipped, some of this information regarding accommodation is not immediately obvious when trawling through... More

An interesting experience, sleeping in the cold room, -5 constant temp, it is not as cold as you would think and you need to only sleep in one layer of clothing, sounds nutty but it works. You get a very warm sleeping bag and are woken up with a nice drink of warm Lingon Berry juice. There is not much... More

Important to know - if you book a basic snow room, your luggage is stored in a locker about 1 meter x 1meter in a communal area. The showers are off this area and if you've forgotten anything in your luggage you will need to nip out in your towel. Much more pleasant is to book an art or northern... More

The Ice Hotel. It's one of those bucket list places. See the Northern Lights, sleep in an Ice Room etc. does it live up to the hype? In 3 words yes and no. The Ice part of the hotel is a feat of engineering, the rooms amazing and yes it's cool drinking in the Ice Bar. The night in the... More

We stayed here in an Art Suite in Jan13. This place operates like a well oiled machine. The staff are both friendly & super efficient. You check-in at Reception, which is in a regular building next door to the Ice Hotel. Here you can enjoy free wifi, complimentary hot drinks, & use the Showers & toilets. This is also where... More

We travelled to the Ice Hotel for a family wedding at the end of January and it was an experience of a lifetime. All of the staff were very friendly and always happy to help. The ice Hotel is truly spectacular and the ice chapel was a magical venue for a wedding. Wedding My now Sister-in-law had booked the trip... More

What an amazing experience... Its a place that you should visit at least once in your lifetime. We stayed one night in a cold accommodation ( northern lights suite) and one night in a warm accommodation (kammos suite). The staff where extremely helpful always with a smile. The breakfast was served at the main restaurant which is adjacent to the... More

We went with Discover the World, it was very enjoyable, would certainly recommend it with only one caveat. Direct flight was good and saved some time. On way from airport to Abisko we saw a fabulous light display as early as 5.30. Had dinner and took the ski chairlift up the mountain to go to the viewing station. As we... More

Amazing works of ice sculpture and snow work. Not sure if there are many words that can descibe this Ice hotel..as firmly believe you need to visit and experience it for your self also every year the bedrooms are different so basic review its a must visit and well worth the time you spend there. A memory for a lifetime.
