Me and my now husband booked this at the end of December 2014, swapped Antigua for snow 😄 crazy you may think but worth every minute. We flew from Manchester to Stockholm then to Kiruna on the monday. Our first flight was delayed by an hour which had a knock on effect to our 2:30 connecting flight. Which ment we... More

We didn't stay, just went on the day tour. As well as the official, interesting tour, we were also given a private tour by a member of staff who was polishing signs with a bag of hot water ;) We spent a couple of hours exploring all the rooms, a real sculptural experience, and borrowing a kicksledge. We had excellent... More

We didn't stay at the Icehotel but did the tour, thinking it would take an hour or so. We ended up staying three hours. We were completely spell-bound. Forget the sun and sangria of Spain, if you want a different holiday go to Swedish Lapland, see the Northern Lights, and the Icehotel and go on dog sleigh rides. Don't bother... More

Best trip ever! We arranged the dog sled transfer from the airport. Our group of 6 sleds had 120 dogs! We were met promptly upon landing! The changing room is very convenient to the terminal. The trip to the hotel was 1.25 hours. We were warmly greeted and absolutely everything was in order upon our arrival. We had sandwiches for... More

The Ice Hotel is an incredible sight! You will be mesmerized by the beauty of it! I spent hours just walking around marveling at everything. It doesn't look all that impressive from the outside (especially around the sides and the back; it just looks like a building in the snow with an occasional ice wall. However, once you go inside,... Looking back on my sleep in the ice hotel i am so happy to have experienced it and would do it again without worrying the way i did first time round! Really it was very daunting for me; someone who is used to heating up the bedrom and the bed before going to sleep even during mild european winter and... More

This was part of a package trip to Abisko to see the Northern Lights. We stayed in the Icehotel on our last night. Whether it is value for money isn't something I can answer. It is a different and for us a unique experience. We thought it was a great and very enjoyable experience and well worth what we paid.... More

An interesting experience, but one night is enough. Not because it was cold, but it is just right. What there. During the day and at night you can buy really well prepared activities and night itself is not so great experience. Interestingly it can be for a man from the city who had never experienced any outdoor activity or have... More

My husband and I visited the Icehotel on March 18. The Icehotel itself is a real hotel as well as a tourist attraction. They are open Mon-Sun 10h-18h, but the English guided tours are only scheduled at 12pm and 4pm. The fee for adult is 325 SEK, 200 student, and 75 child (6-12yrs). It started with a 65m2 igloo museum,... More
