We took the plunge and decided to opt for a differnet kind of wedding at the Ice hotel, Sweden. It was everything we imagined and more, the hotel accommodation both warm and cold was excellent, we couldnt fault it. We had a chalet near the ice hotel/church, it was a 2 bed chalet with plenty of space for us and... more

I went there not knowing what to expect it was expensive, but a marvelous holiday with the wow factor included we went husky sledging and snow mobiling and would have liked to have been there longer to try more things. The restaurant food was first class and the staff of the hotel went out of their way to be helpful.... more

Flew out to the Ice Hotel with Discover the World, who were well organised and managed to get all our excursions sorted easily too. The hotel isn't far from Kiruna airport and the flights arrived at a reasonable hour. We spent out first night in the 'cold' accommodation. We booked an art suite, more expensive, but it meant we got... more

The Hotel was even more that we expected. It is best for short stays, let's say one night, because it is quite uncomfortable due to the fact that you cannot stay in your room for the whole time of the permanence. Entire hotel is on showcase whole day to groups of tourists, so you have to keep your stuff locked... more

This was the best holiday my partner and I have or ever will go on!!! Everything was amazing, the snow was like nothing I have ever seen before. Sleeping in minus 5 was an experience, I would suggest to get an Ice Room though, they look nicer and you get a locker room instead of just a locker to put... more

First things first the good things - the experience of staying overnight in a room in the Ice Hotel is amazing - my husband and I booked an Ice Suite which was great - and the added bonus is that you also get a little room for your cases rather than having to squeeze everything into a little locker. The... more

The thing about the Icehotel is that you have to go all in. Yes, you will spend a lot of money. Yes, food options are limited. Yes, the "process" of staying in an ice room can be complicated. But its all worth it! Splurged on the dogsled pickup from the airport. My guide was fantastic and the dogs were so... more

I must admit on arrival I did think "hmmm, not the magnificent grand approach that I thought" but once you get closer and look at the finer detail it is absolutely amazing! each suit is different and artists from all over the world are queuing up to design suits there. Sometimes cameras just don't do it justice. We stayed our... more

We stayed in the Icehotel for 3 nights - one night in an ice room and two nights in a warm room. Overall it was a very enjoyable experience although it came at a price. The Ice Hotel knows it has a captive audience! Only one restaurant in the entire village so we filled up on a massive buffet breakfast... more
