This trip was a gift from my husband and I was not disappointed. We travelled with Discover the World and stayed for 3 nights (2 in warm accommodation and 1 in the icehotel). It was such a strange experience in the cold accommodation as I was roasting hot all night and had to unzip my sleeping bag to stick my... More

My wife and I travelled from Australia to the Icehotel for our 20th wedding anniversary. It was everything and more that we had read about. Staff were excellent at all times and we lived village atmosphere of the entire place. We stayed in a themed room for one night, then the cabins for another two nights. It was spectacular. We... Well, I am swedish and this was the first time I brought my hubby to visit Sweden, we planned a full roundtrip to see many beautiful places as I wanted to show the diversity of our country, and off-course we should visit the Icehotel, the most famous hotel of Sweden I dare to stay. Add the fact that both of... More

I planned this trip for my husbands 40th birthday. I booked one night in the cold room, one night in the heated. When we arrived it was tour bus central. VERY touristy and organized like an amusement park. It is a truly magnificent sight however upon our arrival the logistics of the stay was explained in further detail. Basically the... More

The Icehotel definitely has the 'wow' factor! We spent one night in a "cool" room and 2 nights in the "warm" accommodation. We booked an Art Suite expecting something special - it was beautiful to be in such a unique setting but the design was very simple and I think we were expecting a little more bang. As the art... we stayed one night at the Icehotel as part of a 5 day trip to Lapland in March this year. it gets 5 stars from me because you will be hard pushed to stay anywhere like this elsewhere in the world. we had stayed at Bjorkliden about 40 minutes away for 4 nights and had our final night here. We... More

Great experience. Just stay in "cold" accomodation for one night only. We stayed 2 nights in Kiruna following. Just buy the cheapest room, as you dont spend much there except when you sleep. All guest have access to view all the rooms til 18:00 / 06:00PM even. Great walking around to view all the different decorated rooms. They also offer... More

The Icehotel in Jukkasjarvi is something special, something you will always remember and an experience that will last. Great hotel, great nature, great activities. Spend one night in the ice hotel and the next night in a warm accommodation. Dogsleds and snowmobiles are must do's when you are this far north.

We went on a family trip to Ice hotel, had an amazing time here. Lot of activities to do, the Ice bar was the best. We stayed in the warm room but had a look at the cold room as well, simply superb piece of architecture.

We visited the Icehotel as a day trip, and so I couldn't comment on what it is like to stay there, but as day visitors we found it very expensive and although it was very cleverly built inside, some of the rooms were a bit of a disappointment, compared to the pictures we had seen on the internet. The chapel... More
