The Icehotel was really a once in a lifetime experience. It is incredible that they are able to create this every year with such intricate and artistic detail. Be prepared that this is not an inexpensive trip. The hotel, food, drinks, and excursions/activities are very, very expensive. But then again you have to realize you are in the arctic circle,... The Ice Hotel is just a magical experience. Both my fiancé and I agree it's one of the best holidays we have ever been on and I have visited a lot of the world and don't really like the cold! It is expensive but it's worth every penny! Favourite experience was spending the night in the wilderness in log cabin... More

What an incredibly cool unique awesome once-in-a-lifetime experience! Our family spent 3 nights at the IceHotel in March 2015, 2 nights in the "warm" rooms (i.e. a 2 bedroom cabin) followed by 1 night in the ice. For our family of 5 (2 adults, 3 kids ages 10, 12 & 14), we booked one 3 bed art suite next to... More

We spent one night in the warm room (very well equipped, warm and cozy) and one in one of the art suites at the ice hotel. It's great that you can see all the other ice rooms during the daytime. The staff was great. The sauna facility was ok but sadly no mixed sauna and the heating was done by... More

We stayed one night in the cold room and two days in the warm room. The cold room is definitely a unique experience. Spending the night in minus five is not something you do every day.. Even though it was pretty cold, the sleeping bag provided was more than enough to give you a good night of sleep. When staying in... More

Overall I really enjoyed the Icehotel and I was very surprised by how understated it was - compared to the price. I was expecting a very posh hotel but we found it to be, like most Scandinavian hotels, very down to earth, simple, and friendly. The cold room was a very cool (no pun intended) experience. I'm happy we did... More

Trip of a lifetime! Definitely not cheap, but totally worth it. When you stay at the Icehotel you have free access to see the hotel, the grounds, the specialty rooms, the church, etc. whenver you want. If you are not staying, you can still see it by buying a visitor ticket. Due to its very unique location, I would take... More

This was undoubtedly one of our most memorable trips away and one which didn't disappoint in terms of scenery, uniqueness and adventure. The highlight for us was the overnight dog sledging - driving your own team of dogs in to the wilderness was simply magical and although basic accommodation, it was all part of the fun. The Icehotel itself didn't... More

We spent 7 nights with and in the ICEHOTEL: 2 nights in cold rooms (Art Suite and Nothern Light Suite), 2 nights in Wilderness Camps and 3 nights in warm chalets. Everyday we did 2-3 activities including ice sculpting, sled dog rides, reindeer sled excursion, snowmobile tours and horseback riding. All activities were phantastic and seemed to be very safe... Stayed one night warm and one cold in art suite. Tried the snowmobilesafari and restaurant at night. Everything very pleasant. Both hotelrooms vwere worth the money. Service excellent. Recommend the ice sculpture class. Really fun. See the Jukkasjarvi church as well, and use the kicksledge to get there.
