We did not stay at this hotel but went there for lunch as it was recommended by the locals. We were wonderfully surprised at their warm welcome and service. This is the second time I have stayed at the Steixner. On both occassions I have found the owners to be very warm and welcoming and the staff very friendly. It is a clean and tidy guesthouse, we had a double room with balcony facing the mountains and an en suite shower room. This is not a luxury hotel but... More

The family has also grown during the years, and become an integral part of this now-famous establishment. After one visit here you are remembered and treated like family! The kitchen is... More

The hotel is excellent, the hospitality is second to none and you can expect to sample Austria in its true form. Most guests return again and again which speaks volumes.

Many people from the UK have been coming to the Steixner for over 30 years. Some first came with their parents. This warm and cosy Gasthof is run by a family who make you feel one of the family. Beware if you stay at the Steixner you will return at every opportunity to sample their hospitality. Get in the main... More
