Simple 15sqm rooms WITHOUT TV in rainy cloudy norwegian days are not funny. Brekfast medium. Restaurant have only half expensive 3-dishes preorder at 7pm , no ala carte or other service. The stores / restaurants in Stryn about 20 km away. surroundings nice. but for annex rooms small and really overpriced.

Relatively small hotel with many oportunities. Rooms in the old part of the building are very cosy. They have a newer part as well as rooms in a motel like part. The grounds are beautiful with lots of green and flowers.

It felt like even before I had been given the opportunity to open the trunk, the landlord was already climbing the stairs carrying both of our suitcases. Here's feeling welcome for you. Staying in 'Idas Salong', as every room has been named after some event in the family's history, made us feel really at home. But then again, the family... More

Hjelle isn't marked in travel guides - or at least not ours- our travel agent directed us to it and we were delighted. A real family run hotel, with the family on board, and visable practically all the time. Delightful quiet settings, as others have described. We had a lovely room overlooking the lake in the main hotel. the simplicity... More

This family hotel is just a great place to stay if you wanna experience some delightful service and assistance for everything you need. The dinner was made by Lorentz & Emma and we found it simple but really tasty and home-made. The breakfast was gorgeous with so many products and a good quantity for each item that will prepare you... More

We stayed as a family at Hotel Hjelle annex in June of 2014. The rooms were a bit spartan, and a tad expensive, but with such a great view and location it was absolutely beautiful. The hotel staff was excellent and helpful in all regards. They are truly customer driven. Breakfasts were excellent. My only complaint would be the cost... More

It's a great,-old-fashioned family hotell in beautiful surroundings. The crystal-clear lake close up of the terrace provides a stunning amazing scenery of the small hotel . The hotel requires a two-night minimum stay, but it can serve as your base in the inlet area. The staff is very helpful towards questions about the area. A cold glass of white wine... More

The place where the hotel is placed is breathtaking. Hjelle hotel lays besides the Oppstrynsvatnet, a lake surrounded by high mountains and with views to a glacier. The hotel is a charming wooden norwegian cottage and its decoration is warm and serene. There's a tasty and generous dinner for 375 NOK (you can choose between meat and fish) and fully... More
