Have been coming here for a number of years and never tire of sitting outside having tea overlooking the lagoon. The staff have changed considerably over the last few years but the stalwarts Andy and Mohammed are still there and make me very welcome. They have changed the menu in the restaurant (at last, as it had been the same... More

After four days in Cape Town we travelled North by way of the M7 through rolling countryside passing through Citrusdal famous for its oranges towards Clan William following the Olifant river. Both are small towns with little in the way of accomodation. Clan Williams is famous for its Rooibus tea and so we visited a farm and processing plant to... More

We stayed at the Farmhouse Hotel for two nights in early September. The upstairs room was spacious and very comfortable, with a view out over the lagoon. The only negative was that the staircase up to the room was very steep. That said, the environs of the hotel were very pleasant in an old country hotel sort of way. You... More

This hotel is located in nineteenth century farmhouse but with all the conveniences of a twenty first century hotel. The siting is superb overlooking the bay and the service is first rate. The food was a delight and the crackling log fires completed the picture.

We were a party of six that really enjoyed one night at The Farmhouse Hotel in September 2014. The location is excellent, the views are fantastic, the rooms are luxury, the service exemplary, the food at breakfast and dinner was really really good. We will return for sure.

What an hotel! Chock-a-bloc full of antiques and implements from a bygone era I really loved the feel of the place. The feel of an old farm store in the shop (complete with glass cubbys full of sweets etc) just made the place very inviting. Rooms I can't comment on fully because I stayed in the villa next door but... More

Stayed at the Farmhouse for one night on our way from Namaqualand to Cape Town. The property is well located with nice views of the lagoon. Our room was spacious and adequately furnished. Due to strong wind the windows were rattling all night. This property has definitely seen better days but has retained a lot of charm. The restaurant is... More

The hotel has a lovely view and location. We stayed in a luxury room which was lovely. The ceiling however had mould on it above the bed and the mattress was not very comfortable and the linen felt very "hard". Other than that the room was very nice... wonderful view over the lagoon and a nice touch with an old... More

We had a fantastic few days here. The staff were friendly and attentive and keen to please and meet all needs. Our room was amazing! It is a rustic setting with superb views over the lagoon. The hotel is a veritable rabbit warren of rooms and we were given a guided tour on arrival. There is a bar, a tuck... More

What a stunning place to visit! The Farmhouse oozes old world charm with the most fantastic view over the lagoon!! Delightful homecooked meals ... But the best is the coffee !! Wow the best cuppa ever!! Like to purchase some so maybe a good idea to sell to the public?
