The chateau is beautiful and a wonderful place to stay. The location is great and the owners are very friendly. Our room, was lovely and very spacious, light and clean. Breakfast is served in the dining room, with amazing tapestries hung on the walls. The breakfast is simple but perfectly reasonable. I have seen in the reviews that some people... More

With close proximity to Paris and even closer to Fountainebleau, this property and the quiet village of Bourron-Marlotte are a great option to stay/visit when in France. The property is magnificent with a boutique 9 room hotel in an authentic chateau/castle, manicured grounds, a spring fed moat, and densely wooded natural areas. My wife and I were looking for a... We booked one night at the Château during our "Roland Garros Trip" to Paris. Our experience was short but absolutely fantastic.. The Château is beautiful, full of charme and history, and it's sourrounded by an enchanting wild private forest where you can enjoy short but interesting walks/ runs... During our morning run we met a deer puppy sleeping! The rooms... More

Quietly situated - the castle is located on an area of 40 Hectares - but only 7 kilometers from Fontainebleau. The castle is beautiful and old (parts of it are more than 700 years old). Authentic interior of the public places and the rooms, although some comfort has been added (good showers, heating etc.). You just feel like living in... More

We had occasion to visit the Fountainbleau area, where there is a MAGNIFICENT palace where Napoleon lived, and ruled as Emperor. There in the area, we stayed at the Chateau de Bourron which we found to be gracious, charming, romantic and elegant. It was SUCH A TREAT as well as an excellent value. Highly recommended. The service (friendliness) provided by... More

My husband and i visited Paris over the holidays and stayed at the chateau de bourron for 2 nights. We absolutely fell in love with it! such a cozy, charming and friendly place to stay! The owner was very nice and accommodating. The rooms were clean, cozy and nicely decorated. The views were unbelievable! There is a local town where... More

My new wife and I stayed here on our honeymoon on course from Paris to Lyon. The place is absolutely incredible!!! I cannot fault a single thing. I had arranged prior to our arrival an in-house cooked meal (as it was a Sunday night when we were there), what was organised for us was over and beyond all expectations. My... More

The 17Th Century Château is a wonderful place to rest a weary soul. Rooms were of a good size with good bathroom facilities. Each room was individually detailed with traditional style décor which is in complete harmony with the surroundings. The grounds are magnificent with push bikes available for guest use. There is a moat surrounding the Château and riding... More

A "palace" hotel can be nice but this is a true, historic castle, a magnificent 17th century building set in beautiful grounds. We had a lovely, quiet room on the top floor at a reasonable price. The window was small, but the view grand :-) The rooms are all beautifully and individually decorated, covering a broad price range. Breakfast is... More

Chateau de Bourron is a beautiful "Maison de famille", very convenient to visit Fontainebleau and its surroundings. Our room (La Bedoyère) was just above the "salon" where they held a diner the night we stayed at the Chateau. We had to deal with shouting and screaming until late at night, which is not what you expect when you go to... More

Thank you for saying that chateau de Bourron is a beautiful "Maison de Famille" and that it is easy to visit Fontainebleau, it is true. We do apologize for the reception you did have, We are normally making a clear choice either Hotel or exclusivity for reception but we are not doing both for preventing such problem ! It seems...
