We are a senior couple and this is the 8th time we were at Don Lino. Needless to say we love it there and will continue to return to this hotel. They have a large new restaurant that opened while we were there and the old buffet restaurant is now an La cart, if you want lobster or shrimp it... More

Our first stay at Don Lino was January 22nd to the 29th 2016, we went with low expectations and were pleasantly surprised. Don Lino is 3 stars for sure but with a few nice touches, decent food, two great house bands, especially Punto Cero!! who had things rocking 3 different nights! and for the the most part friendly and helpful... Just returned and knew going in that a low cost vacation would have its flaws. But the 2 storey "bungalows" are supposed to be fairly new but are terribly maintained. We moved several times during the week so know that they all have issues such as cracked or missing tiles in the bathroom, constantly running toilets in all the bungalows... More

I paid less than 1/2 of regular price for this resort in an off-season last minute deal and man, it was worth it. Don't expect too much, and go enjoy a resort that's not brimming with tourists. It's a great experience if you're okay with not having too many activities and just being able to enjoy wildlife (there were non-invasive... More

This is a review of our trip April 17 to 24, 2015. The reason I am writing it now is that we are going back this year (2016). I must have read 150 reviews before deciding on Don Lino in 2015. The name kind of threw me off. Finally, when I read it was "rustic" I took a closer look.... More

This is an amazing resort! But with that said, I'm fully aware that not everyone would agree and that's why you see such varied reviews. Consider this checklist. If you answer "yes" to most of them, then you will be very happy here. If you answer "no" look for another place. Are you down to earth? Did you grow up... More

This was our first stay at Don Lino and there was definitely something charming and unique about it. It is a small resort with older stone bungalows and some newer 2 storey buildings (4 units per building). The rooms are basic but clean. During our visit, the lobby and lobby bar, were under renovation (completed as we were leaving) and... More

I have been to Cuba several times, but this was by far my most authentic experience. My husband and I loved that Don Lino was slightly off the beaten path and surrounded by absolutely beautiful rolling fields of tall, gold-tipped grass. We borrowed bicycles daily and took them out to explore the quiet roads and natural beauty of the region.... More

Wow Don Lino just keeps getting better and better demonstrated by the amount of guests there in early November. Two years ago there may have been a dozen this year there were 143 guests there!!!. The food was wonderful as usual with no lack of variety. There were fruit and vegetables even though I know that they are just coming... More

We have stayed at this small, friendly resort twice and are planning to return as early as next month. Although the Don lino needs some upgrading, the friendly staff more than make up for its short comings. The food is only average, but I never went hungry. The rooms could use some upgrading, but I have stayed in hotels that... More
