Sadly we only had one night in this lovely hotel. The hotel is situated in a beautiful area and has amazing grounds. We were in The Coach House which was a wonderful suite on two levels. It's situated at the back of the hotel in a courtyard with other rooms. Downstairs was a lounge with sofa and two chairs, large... More

The hotel is grand in all aspects. Firstly, we were treated to a free upgrade on our check-in as my wife informed them it was my 50th birthday. The room was very spacious with a large modern bathroom with all the perks (heated towel warmer, heated floor etc.). There were chocolate strawberries waiting in our room. The Coach house suite... Have just been here for a charity dinner. I appreciate serving nearly 190 meals is not easy, but the meal provided was totally inadequate in relation to the charge involved. The melon starter was 4 ultra slim wafers of melon that probably cost more in labour time to slice and put on the plate than the melon involved itself did.... More

We stayed at Oakley Hall for one evening with our toddler, and chose to stay in a courtyard suite. We had a fabulous welcome by Beth, and were offered warm milk and a cookie for our son before bed (he only had the milk!) The coach house suite (has a normal set of stairs as opposed to the clock tower... More

As we stepped in we where welcomed and got a beautiful, clean, and quiet room. Bathroom had heated floor and it was lovely to take a quiet bath after a long travel day. Breakfast was well served and made. My husband and I enjoyed the fresh salmon and the pounced eggs, perfectly made. We like to thank you Ms Wells,... More

We visited on 20 September 2014, to celebrate a special anniversary with family. We preordered champagne for our arrival at a table in the lounge. A wedding party took over the lounge although they had their own function suite, the surprise was immediately lost. We ordered a bottle of red wine, a different bottle was delivered to the table with... More

Rooms are fantastic, staff are great, location is beautiful. The only let down is the restaurant, not the service or food, but just the atmosphere. We've stayed there twice now, and during breakfast and dinner, everyone is whispering as the room is too small, and the background music is too low. But they are building a bigger restaurant which should... More

Lovely entrance, driveway and grounds and I was allocated a courtyard room with parking directly outside. Bedroom was large, newly appointed with a very comfy bed, enormous bathroom and everything I could wish for BUT was very corporate and lacked the country touches I would expect from a character building. Dinner was short on choice & expensive but absolutely delicious... More

An outwardly upmarket place with some very posh staff, let down by a few little touches here and there. A large Dalwhinney in the evening cost me £16. Given that a 70cl bottle holding 20 tots costs me £35 on average that's one hell of a mark-up. Room service hot breakfast for two was served with two sets of cutlery... More

I had been looking at various hotels and packages for my parents 40th wedding anniversary and stumbled across Oakley Hall Hotel - so glad I did!! They were amazingly helpful when I told them it was for a surprise. They even printed a special gift voucher for me to give to my parents to open. I booked them the Sunday... More
