Attending my nephews wedding held at Oakley Hall. The whole day was a wonderful experience, the setting superb and staff attention to detail without question the best i have ever experience as a well seasoned traveler across the world. Stayed overnight and had a wonderful breakfast with other family members. My compliments to both staff and management for all they... More

My son and future daughter in law booked this venue for their wedding. The Hall and grounds are the most idyllic place to bring your family and friends for such an event. We spent 2 nights in one of the courtyard rooms. These are spacious and comfortable with very high quality fixtures and fittings. The bathroom even had a heated... More

On the trail of Jane Austen, i booked an Afternoon tea to end our afternoon, the staff was very nice but seriously under staffed, we asked for some cream to finish the scones it takes an extremely long time to arrive by then the miniature scones were eaten, to add insult to injury our stressed and over stretched waiter told... We went for afternoon tea in the library, which provided a very nice setting. The staff were friendly and efficient. The tea itself was ok, the finger sandwiches were fresh, but the scones, (usually the highlight of such an occasion), were disappointly small, they could best be described as minature, button-size, one-bite size. The small cakes were full of too... More

Had couple of days away, after a rather hectic time at home. Stayed in the Courtyard rooms. Fantastic - so quiet and peaceful. Restaurant was great with old fashioned service. This was our second visit and we will certainly be returning

A lovely hotel in a superb location with lots of quality touches and well worth an overall 4+ score. All public areas are very attractive and with lots of character. Excellent restaurant, superb food both evening and breakfast with similar high quality snacks served in the library. The serving staff are also first class. The courtyard executive rooms are very... I struggled to sleep as even though the curtains were thick the sun still came through from 5am and next door had their TV on and I could hear it whilst I was trying to sleep but the hotel was lovely and the surroundings were idyllic. I'm hoping to visit again early next year. .

Bit of a mixed review this one... The rooms are amazing - really modern, set apart from the main hotel, mine even had a little terrace outside overlooking the lovely grounds. Bathroom was great - underfloor heating, massive towel rail, even a rubber duck to keep you company! The rooms seemed well sound proofed too, which is always great -... More

We stayed at Oakley Hall again, as we have done before and loved it, to celebrate our 40th Wedding Anniversary. The staff as usual were attentive and polite. The deluxe courtyard room was spotless, very comfortable and well appointed but starting to look a little tired. We had afternoon tea and were only offered one type of tea to drink,... More

We stayed at the Oakley Hall Hotel for just one night after visiting Highclere Castle (Downton Abbey). The Courtyard room was ideal and well appointed. The ensuite bathroom was well fitted and had White Company toiletries. It was very clean throughout. We had dinner and breakfast the following morning and both were very well presented. The staff throughout the hotel... More
