Stayed here due to its close proximity to Nutre Hogar, a facility that tends to malnourished children. On Booking.com, they list that they speak English, but we had problems for the 2 days we were there. No one really spoke any English. DO NOT stay in rooms 99 or 98. They are right on the main road, and trucks would... More

Our first visit. A bilingual front desk clerk would have been helpful. Door key cards kept needing to be "recharged," which was a bother. Breakfast was cheap and had a good variety, but we didn't have any other meal there. The stools at the pool bar were too low...we felt like kids in the adult chairs. The margarita was poor... More

We stayed in room 101, the rooms are very spacious, beds are wonderful. This particular room was facing a very loud bus stop/truck stop. Also across the highway was a very busy party place. This room was noisy at times. Pool is great staff are very accommodating. Restaurant is reasonably priced however not very laid back. All in all would... More

I came to Santiago and stayed at this comfortable, remodeled hotel. Rooms are large, I stayed at the top floor and it was well air conditioned, had a tub and shower separate and two large queen sized beds. Breakfast was included with three choices. This is the best in Santiago if you consider its acceptable dining room, not gourmet, but... More

I stayed in this newly renovated hotel for 2 nights last week. Although I was happy with the hotel a few years ago BEFORE the renovations, I have to say I am thoroughly impressed with the hotel now AFTER the renovations. My suite was terrific. The bed VERY comfy, the suite impeccably clean, and the bathroom was huge. I had... More

The road noise, the hotel bar and the bar across the street make it impossible to sleep at this hotel! We were on the top floor and yet the we could FEEL the beat of the music from the bar on the main level until the middle of the night. EVERY truck that goes by the hotel hits the jake... More

The hotel is clean and acceptable with beautiful garden courtyards. The pool is nice, but toward the end of the day it seems less than clean, but it gets cleaned daily I think, so do your swimming in the morning after it gets cleaned, before the young kids come out and take over the pool with water gun fights. I... More

The hotel itself has been remodeled and is in good condition overall. The good: - There is even an elevator for persons not able to walk the stairs to get to the second floor. - Balcony overlooking pool area is nice. - First floor poolside has hammocks. - Rooms are very spacious and clean. - Air conditioning worked great which... Hotel Gran David is a reasonably priced hotel with upscale amenities. Beautiful room, comfortable bed and beautifully appointed grounds, especially for Panama standards. I would have given it 5-stars but the room I had was facing the road and the road noise with the trucks air braking throughout the night was really loud. I'd pay the extra $20 to have... More

Tired, accidentally found this delightful hotel. It was so delightfully decorated and explicitly laid out and comfortable, stayed 2 days instead of the 1 night. Pool, restaurant and to top it off, massage! Saw tennis courts at the back and noted large meeting rooms. Large balconies overlooking the lovely pool and grounds, swim up bar, etc. only issue for me... More
