The hotel has a great location in the beautiful little town of Murten. We were able to park in the free hotel parking area. Our standard double room was simple and basic, but very comfortable. It had a view of the lake. The bed was really comfortable as were the big pillows on the bed. Our bathroom was updated and... More

Looking for an inexpensive place to stay in Murten, I found Hotel Murten exactly what I was looking for. The rooms are simple, but very clean and provided everything I needed for a short overnight stay. The staff was friendly and efficient, and the free wifi was also a plus. Although the hotel is just outside the quaint city walls,... More

Fine perch for exploring the town. Don't miss the Roman ruins down the lake. Eat at the hotel restaurant for lovely views and excellent food. Friendly staff really does give useful advice for touring the area. Town streets and shops offer tourist entertainment and the walls of this town are made for walking!

We stayed 2 nights in this unique hotel just inside the town walls of Murten.. Our room was small overlooking the street yet it was quiet since we were there in Sept. The bathroom was updated and shiny and the room was exceptionally clean and the beds very comfortable. We enjoyed the coffee room after our many walks throughout the... More

Stayed here multiple times, quaint. Close to lake. Must stay, great breakfast spread. Wonderful staff. Right in the middle of the walled city, easy access to exceptional restaurants and bars in murten. Short walk from the train station.

The hotel is situated near a picturesque lake in a quaint old village. Our party had two rooms, one of which was spacious and had an excellent view of the lake. The other room was adjacent to an elevator and baby crib storage area. It had its own patio on the roof of the restaurant. The public areas were very... More

We spent two nights in Murten, in a small but charming room in a great location just inside the walls of the old town. The room ('standard' not premium) was clean, well furnished and comfortable. Unlike many places we've stayed, the internet service was strong, fast and reliable. Breakfast was very nice - with everything we could ask for. That... More

Murten is nice a small, quiet town on Lake Murten. This hotel is on the hill overlooking the lake. Walking distance from Murten Station. You can walk down to the lake shore and have a nice stroll along the lake in the morning. A minute walk to "downtown" Murten for food, drinks and shops. Staff are nice, friendly, though rooms... This town was one of the most delightful places we visited in Switzerland. It was so charming. The hotel was great....just had very small rooms. The family that runs the hotel was very kind and helpful. We had dinner the night that we were there in the restaurant...it was a good meal but not outstanding. The staff was very kind... More

Driven by a day of rain to seek better shelter than our tent, we were lucky enough to find a warm welcome here. We also (like Zuly) paid SF160 for room and breakfast for the two of us, which the girl in the TI said was good value. We were very happy to be invited to help ourselves to coffee... More
