I attended the One Week Mediterranean course taught by Chef Laura Giusti. She was not only a fantastic teacher and chef, but a truly beautiful person. The villa was a dream! The surroundings are breathtakingly gorgeous. The grounds keeper and maid do a phenomenal job taking care to make the place a sight to behold from every turn! The friends... More

The Mediterranean Cooking School at Casa Ombuto was an excellent vacation. Under the caring instruction of a Chef Laura Giusti eleven pupils honed their cooking schools while becoming friends. The staff was superb. The school is housed in a villa located mountainside in rural Tuscany. The vistas are beautiful.

Words can't describe the beauty of Casa Ombuto (& Tuscany as a whole) & the fun time had by all with Chef Paola, Sheena & the rest of the Tuscookany staff. The website pics don't it do it justice. The property is magnificent - overlooking the Appenine mountains among various nut & fruit trees, grape vines, veggie & herb gardens,... More

This was the best time of my life! I loved cooking food and meeting the incredible people that were there. It was such a great time. Their main chef Paola is an amazing woman and a great teacher. Each day is different and exciting (keep in mind this is coming from a 15 year old boy). It's fun for all... More

My friend and I recently spent a week at the Tuscookany Cooking School, Casa Ombuto location. I have nothing but rave reviews! The setting for Casa Ombuto is stunning, in the mountains a couple of hours east of Florence. The accommodations are lovely and comfortable, with guests staying in a picturesque stone villa with lots of terraces and porches to... More

From the moment we arrived on a sleepy warm Saturday afternoon in mid-June, this multi-sensory-filled experience exceeded every expectation... & I had quite a few, not being much of a cook myself, but traveling with a real foodie & exquisite cook! Chef Laura Giusti is truly in her element. She worked easily with all of us at every experience level,... More

I’ve just returned home after spending a week at the beautifully rustic Casa Ombuto, to say it was truly magical is an understatement! Perched on top of a mountain and surrounded by forest, all you can hear is bird song and the bees humming in the lavender. My first concern was that I was travelling alone and may feel isolated... What a brilliant way to spend a holiday! We had just spent a week cycling around Southern Tuscany and decided that exertion deserved to be followed with some self-indulgence! Casa Ombuto did the trick. We selected the Mediterranean cooking course as my husband was not sure that he wanted to do a full week of Italian cooking - and we... More

Imagine the most romantic Tuscan setting - a beautiful stone villa set high in the mountains, surrounded by woodlands, fruit trees, roses and lavender, a HUGE swimming pool overlooking more of the above, smells of fresh bread, roast lamb, garlic and herbs tempting you back into the kitchen where a larger than life chef, Paola awaits. There are no words... More
