It was a rainy Friday night during Canberra's winter, and my partner and I were looking forward to spending some away but the rain was starting to deter us. We arrived at Redbrow (late) and the hosts couldn't be more welcoming. The heaters were on in the lovely room and there was wine and some other snacks waiting. When we... More

Wonderful holiday with friends. The garden cottage was perfect for 6 girls meeting for the weekend. The rooms were extremely comfortable. Fresh home made muffins delivered to the front door. Beautiful grounds to wander thru, a fantastic bon fire at night to keep us warm. We will return next year......

Thanks Lisa. Redbrow is an ideal get away for small groups and families, the flexibility in the accommodation and the beautiful grounds allow for as much together time or solitude as our valued guests wish. We thoroughly look forward to your next visit! More

We have just spent a week exploring this place and have really enjoy it! Yes the decor could do with some upgrade but is clean and has all you could ever ask for. We spent the week with our 3 children 13, 11 and 1 as well as my partners parents who just loved the place. It is a 20-30... More

We stayed here Three nights so got a rather good impression on the running of the place. If you want a breakfast cooked for you this is not the place, provisions are supplied with a unclean communical kitchen for you to use. If you like cobwebs, over grown pathways this is the place for you.Location was good for travelling in... More

We had a wonderful two days here at Redbrow. I had read the reviews so was prepared for a brusque reception. It was nothing of the sort, a cultural difference perhaps but I found Elisabeth to be polite and welcoming. We LOVED the house. I kept trying to work out what other reviews were going on about...we felt separate enough... More

Redbrow Garden is an eco lodge set on beautiful grounds. The rooms are comfortable, clean and reasonably spacious, with a good ensuite. Stepping out the back door of the unit led us onto a grass verge overlooking the small lake which has a rowing boat moored on the shore. This is an ideal spot for wine and cheese before dinner.... The garden and bush setting is delightful. Love the birds. We had a family wedding at Poachers Pantry just down the road. This worked well although Redbrow is a little too far from Canberra for last minute preparations and it has no mobile coverage. We stayed in the three bedroom cottage which is large and rustic. The outdoor living area... More

I stayed in the Blue Wren room (2 bed) with my sister on a 3-day visit to Canberra recently. The reception from the woman behind the desk (Elizabeth?) was brusque "You are Alex? How will you pay?". Okay, payment is important I guess.... The rooms were adequate, clean and reasonably spacious, but gloomy (lights are awful). Walked out into the... More

First words when we arrived were "how do you want to pay?". Then shown to our room (which was fine) - and pointed to the shared kitchen where we were told to make ourselves breakfast. No cosy B&B style here. Just clean rooms lined up like a motel and a very sparse and freezing shared kitchen. No fresh food for... More

My mother, my two children and I have stayed on a continual basis at Red brow Garden now for the past ten years. My mother has passed on and my children have grown up but I continue to go down to attend the summer exhibition at the Art Gallery and the National Folk Festival over Easter. As a single mother...
