Had dinner at the Harbour View Hotel twice during a recent stay in Raglan. Good variety of food available, quality very good and reasonably priced. Staff very polite and friendly. Good range of beers and wines available. Reasonably busy during both visits which means that you need to arrive early if you want a seat outside on the verandah overlooking... More

I went to Harbour View Hotel as soon as I arrived in Raglan, because its location is central and the façade is lovely. Unfortunately, the waitress told me there are no ensuite rooms, but simple rooms with shared bathroom... No, thanks. Anyways, I haven't spend the night but I tried at least the restaurant. The food was ok, the prices... More

Our small group of three experienced older travellers, booked two double rooms for one night in early January. We knew what we were booking, so no surprises. Emily who booked us in, and supplied our ice and glasses, for our drinks on the deck, was most pleasant, helpful and efficient. Our double rooms 6 and 7 faced the upper deck.... More

We stayed here for one night in November. We had a double room with a shared bathroom at the end of the hall. The hotel itself is quite charming and the dining areas are really nice. That's where it stops. Our room was very basic with a sink provided in the room. On the upper level there is a porch... More

Have eaten here before with better success. Stopped in for dinner after looking at a few sections and properties. Keen on a good beer and some comfort food. Monteiths black was awesome. Chicken and olive pizza not so much. Was hot but tasteless. Needed a much punchier tomato base and more herbs. Base was crunchy and light though. Onion rings... More

We enjoyed a nice mediterranean platter, which included nice spreads and a very generous pile of delicious feta. The steak kebabs on it were a little chewy, and I'm not sure vinegar-marinated mussels quite fitted the theme. But overall it was pleasant. Followed this with their seafood chowder that people "drive great distances for". Hmmmm... it was ok, but I... More

On a day off from work hubby, friends and I decided to take a drive down to Raglan. The day was wet and miserable but we found a cozy place by the fire in the Harbour View Hotel to have some lunch. The wood fired pizzas were delicious and it was no trouble for us to order 1/2 and 1/2... More

Built in 1905 it is a character pub. I liked it and didn't expect more. Went in for a beer one day and returned for an evening meal the next day. Staff were pleasant. Prices were reasonable. Wife had a chicken wrap with salad and fries. She was pleased with it. I had a steak, bacon, eggs and fries and... More

Our flying group flew into Raglan Airfield and we all walked into town to our favourite hotel for lunch. 38 people in our group and the service and food were impressive! Lots of orders of fish and chips which were the best I have ever had, and the seafood chowder was lovely.

Raglan is a great little village with a good range of food options. We ate at the Harbour View Hotel in Raglan on Anzac Day. With 2 vegetarians & 2 carnivores in our group there were plenty of choices and the pizzas were good - not as bad as described by others!
