Good Hotel in Berkhamsted. Room is good and the breakfast is cooked on the fly. Calm and relaxing if you are traveling for business. Bathroom is clean and with a big shower. Close to restaurants in the nearby. A nice park behind the hotel for a walk before or after dinner. Train station is 10 mins walk.

Tucked away behind Cafe Rouge is this nice hotel. Helpful reception staff and nice rooms. Lovely new bathroom in ours with a bath & shower. Just what we needed after a days walking. Breakfast is served in a small room below reception and is cooked before you in an open kitchen - I'd reccommend the omlettes!

We stayed here recently and the staff couldn't have done enough for us. They were friendly and so helpful. Our room overlooked the courtyard. It was spacious and had a great bathroom. I highly recommend it.

The shower was broken in our room which was really frustrating. Also 1 tea bag to share and a plaster in the shower tray. We complained and to their credit they moved us to a different room. However even in this the lever to switch between bath and shows was broken and there was only 1 towel. The room was... More

Nice size room, very clean. Room was really hot and we could not get the A/C to work...as we were there just one night didn't bother to report it. We could not turn the heating in the bathroom off, which didn't help. Breakfast was very nice, freshly cooked to order...spotless breakfast room too.

I stayed here with a friend at the end of January. We booked this hotel as there was limited choice in Berkhamsted for the dates we had to visit. We did initially look at the sister hotel, which is a pub across the road but it was fully booked. The price paid was £120 per night, so £240 for a... More

Not that Berkhamsted has much to offer visitors, especially in regards to hotels, this place at least has a sense of luxury without it being overly expensive. As for advise, know the walls are paper thin, so anyone can hear you, just like you can hear your neighbour's conversations... The walls have ears!

We stayed in the hotel for 3 nights over the christmas period, so all we needed was bed and breakfast, as we had our meals (and the christmas celebrations) with famiy. For this purpose the hotel was fine. But if you are looking for a hotel to spend more time in, then maybe choose somewhere else. The rooms are small,... More

The hotel room was very clean but quite a small room across from the breakfast room. Its more like a motel as doors open up to outside. Rooms are not very sound proof and could hear people walking in corridor or going up steps. No window wt a view either. Its a strange set up sort of tucked away between... More

I booked this hotel to stay in when we went to dine at The Gatsby in Berkhampsted. It was a little difficult to find as the address on the High Street is actually a Cafe Rouge and the hotel is behind this via a car park for M&S and Waitrose, however after phoning for directions it was easy to find...
