The shower was broken in our room which was really frustrating. Also 1 tea bag to share and a plaster in the shower tray. We complained and to their credit they moved us to a different room. However even in this the lever to switch between bath and shows was broken and there was only 1 towel. The room was... More

Nice size room, very clean. Room was really hot and we could not get the A/C to work...as we were there just one night didn't bother to report it. We could not turn the heating in the bathroom off, which didn't help. Breakfast was very nice, freshly cooked to order...spotless breakfast room too.

I stayed here with a friend at the end of January. We booked this hotel as there was limited choice in Berkhamsted for the dates we had to visit. We did initially look at the sister hotel, which is a pub across the road but it was fully booked. The price paid was £120 per night, so £240 for a... More

Not that Berkhamsted has much to offer visitors, especially in regards to hotels, this place at least has a sense of luxury without it being overly expensive. As for advise, know the walls are paper thin, so anyone can hear you, just like you can hear your neighbour's conversations... The walls have ears!

We stayed in the hotel for 3 nights over the christmas period, so all we needed was bed and breakfast, as we had our meals (and the christmas celebrations) with famiy. For this purpose the hotel was fine. But if you are looking for a hotel to spend more time in, then maybe choose somewhere else. The rooms are small,... More

The hotel room was very clean but quite a small room across from the breakfast room. Its more like a motel as doors open up to outside. Rooms are not very sound proof and could hear people walking in corridor or going up steps. No window wt a view either. Its a strange set up sort of tucked away between... More

I booked this hotel to stay in when we went to dine at The Gatsby in Berkhampsted. It was a little difficult to find as the address on the High Street is actually a Cafe Rouge and the hotel is behind this via a car park for M&S and Waitrose, however after phoning for directions it was easy to find... We asked for larger bed option but it was a standard double (although soft) and the room was very small and very cheaply (except for a very large flat screen tv) and darkly furnished and painted dark olive green and maroon. Side tables were dark orange metal. Doors and walls are thin so you can hear neighbours pouring showers and... More

Hi 732anon, Thank you for taking the time to leave your feedback, I hope I can help to address some of the issues you have raised. I am afraid we only have standard doubles, I apologise for the confusion that there was a larger option available but we are pleased that your bed was comfy. Futhermore, I am sorry you... More

We stayed here for 2 nights - Friday - Sunday. The room was a decent size. The bed was very comfortable and the furniture fit for purpose. We had our own coffee making facilities and free wifi. The bathroom was very clean and the shower was awesome! Although sited between the high street and a public car park, we enjoyed... More
